Spring anime "Grapnir" OP theme "Altern-ate-", music video featuring H-el-ical// is released!

A music video (short version) of "Alternate-" by H-el-ical//, the OP theme of the TV anime "Grapnir" currently being broadcast, has been released.

Grapnir" is a TV anime based on the manga of the same title serialized in "Young Magazine Third" (Kodansha) by Sun Takeda. The main character, a high school boy Shuichi Kagaya (CV. Natsuki Hanae), has the ability to transform into a "stuffed animal," but he keeps it a secret and leads a peaceful life. However, he meets a mysterious girl named Claire (CV. Nao Higashiyama) and gets caught up in an unexpected conflict in this "life-threatening romantic comedy.

The OP theme song "Alternate-" is sung by H-el-ical//, a member of "Kalafina" (a 3-member vocal unit produced by Yuki Kajiura), who has sung the theme songs of many hit works. Hikaru, a member of "Kalafina" (a three-member vocal unit produced by Yuki Kajiura), who has sung the theme songs of many hit movies.

H-el-ical// started as a solo unit to pursue more creative sound and performance as a solo artist, utilizing the expressive power and vocal skills gained from his 10 years of activities as Kalafina. H-el-ical// will make its major label debut with the single "Altern-ate-//" scheduled for release on May 20, 2020.

In addition to the standard edition, "Altern-ate-//" will also be available in a limited first edition that includes a bonus Blu-ray with non-credit opening footage from "Grapnir.

Uploading campaign for the video!
To celebrate the release of the "Alternate" single, a video upload campaign will begin on May 15, 2020 (Fri.).

You can participate in the campaign by uploading videos of "I tried singing" or "I tried performing" to YouTube using the instrumental soundtracks and sheet music distributed on the official website.
