Kayo Maru has a daughter, and the TV anime "Half-Demon Princess Yashahime" is now in production! Rumiko Takahashi herself will participate in character design!

A new TV anime, "Half-Demon Yasha Hime," featuring the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha, characters from the popular manga "Inuyasha" by Rumiko Takahashi, will be produced as the heroines of the series. Broadcast is scheduled for the fall of 2020.

Inuyasha," written by Rumiko Takahashi, is a popular manga serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday (Shogakukan) from 1996 to 2008. It is a fantasy action drama set in the Sengoku period and the present day, when the world is overrun by ghosts and monsters.

The TV animation series began airing in 2000, and four theater movies were also released. The main characters in "Hanyou no Yasha Hime" are the daughters of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, characters from the popular work "Inuyasha" that continues to be loved by many fans even today.

Animation production is by Sunrise. Rumiko Takahashi also participates as a character designer.

Animation production will be handled by Sunrise, as in the Inuyasha anime series. The animation will be directed by Teruo Sato (assistant director of "Inuyasha: The Complete Works"), and Rumiko Takahashi herself will participate in the main character design. In addition, Yoshihito Hishinuma will be in charge of animation character design, Kaoru Wada will provide music, and the staff who worked on the "Inuyasha" anime series will reunite to create a new Sengoku Gogaisoshi. In addition, Katsuyuki Sumisawa will be in charge of series composition, and the TV anime "Half Demon Princess Yasha" will consist of Sumisawa's original story.

Synopsis of "Half Demon Princess Yasha
Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha are half-demon girls with the blood of a yokai and a human. Twin girls, Towa and Setsuna, were separated as children when they were caught in a forest fire. Towa goes through a tunnel that crosses the time-space of the Jidaiju, and travels back in time from the Warring States Period to the present day. She was raised as the daughter of the Kagome family and grew up to be a junior high school girl skilled in martial arts.
Meanwhile, Setsuna, the younger sister left behind in the Sengoku period, is making a living exterminating ghosts under Kohaku, who has become the head of a ghost exterminator.
Moroha is the daughter of Kagome and Inuyasha. As a bounty hunter, she is known as "Moroha the Monster Killer," and also spends her time exterminating yokai.
Ten years have passed since Towa and Setsuna were separated. A tunnel that crosses the time-space of the Jidaiju has been opened again. Towa is reunited with Setsuna, who appears in the present day, but for some reason Setsuna has forgotten about Towa.
Moroha, who came to the present day with Setsuna, joins them, and Towa and the other "half-demon nightshade princesses" run amok in all directions in the present day and in the Sengoku period!

The following three main characters will appear in this work. All of them are the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.

Toiwa
A 14-year-old junior high school girl living in the age of 2025, she slipped back in time to the present day through a tunnel in the Jidaiju tree 10 years ago. She was rescued by Kagome's younger brother, Sota, and raised as his daughter. She is good at martial arts, and has been repeatedly transferred from one school to another after getting into fights with delinquents.
She is now a student at St. Gabriel's Academy, an all-girls school. She meets Setsuna and Toroha, who have come to the present day, and tries to return to the Warring States Period in order to restore Setsuna's sleep. She dresses as a man to make it easier for her to fight. She is actually the daughter of Sesshomaru, who lives in the Sengoku period.

Setsuna
Setsuna is 14 years old. She is a member of a yokai exterminator group headed by Kohaku, and makes her living by exterminating yokai. She was actually separated from her twin sister, Towa, when she was 4 years old, but 10 years later, she and Moroha travel back in time to the present day and are reunited with Towa. Ten years later, he and Moroha travel back in time to the present day and are reunited with Toiwa.
However, he has no memory of his childhood because he was deprived of sleep by the butterfly of his dreams. She does not believe Towa when she tells her that she is her sister. Together with Towa and Moroha, who are trying to restore Setsuna's sleep, they return to the Warring States Period. ...... He is calm and collected, and his unflappable attitude seems to be inherited from Sesshomaru.

Moroha
A 14-year-old bounty hunter. He exterminates yokai and sells his prey (heads, fangs, and bodies of yokai) to the bounty hunter Zubei Shikaiya, who trades in bounty heads. He is a wielder of the yokai sword Kutaramaru. His street name is Moroha, the monster killer. When he puts the red color in the bowl of a shell with a red pearl, he becomes the "Kuni Koroshi no Beniyasha (Red Yasha of the Fall of the Nation)" and goes on a rampage. He has a cheerful and vivacious personality. Compared to Setsuna and Towa, he is the most worldly-wise. She is actually the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, but since she has lived on her own since childhood, she knows little about her parents.
