New anime "Decadence" by Yuzuru Tachikawa and Studio NUT to air in July! Main Cast: Katsuyuki Konishi & Tomori Kusunoki

It has been decided that "Decadence," which is to be adapted into a TV anime, will be broadcast in July 2020. In addition, key visuals, story outline, staff and cast information, and character information were also released.

Decadence" is a new original TV animation produced by NUT, the animation production company that produced "Jujo Senki" and other works. The director is Yuzuru Tachikawa, the script is by Koji Seko, and the character design is by Shinichi Kurita.

Story of "Decadence

Many years have passed since the human race was threatened with extinction by "Gadol," an unknown life form that suddenly appeared.
To protect themselves from the threat of Gadol, the survivors built and lived in "Decadence," a huge mobile fortress 3,000 meters high. The residents of "Decadence" are "Gears," warriors who fight "Gadol" day and night, and "Tankers," who do not have the power to fight.
One day, Natsume, a tanker girl who admires "Gears," warriors who fight against "Gadol," and dreams of becoming a "Gear" herself, meets an unfriendly armored repairman, Cabragi, of "Decadence.
A positive girl who never gives up on her dream and a realist man who has given up on his dream. Their seemingly opposite encounters will soon shake up the future of this world.

Cast and character information revealed!

Katsuyuki Konishi will play the role of Cabragi, the armored repairman of the decadence, and Tomori Kusunoki will play the role of Natsume, a "tanker" girl who dreams of becoming a "gear".

A taciturn and unsociable veteran armored repairer. He used to be a skilled warrior, but now he has no interest in fighting and spends his days apathetically. His mindset changes when he meets Natsume, who refuses to give up on her dream.

Natsume (CV. Tomori Kusunoki)
A young girl who lost her father and her right arm in an attack by Gadol when she was a child. She dreamed of fighting Gadol as a warrior, but reality was harsh and she ended up working for Cabragi as an armored repairer. She is a cheerful and energetic girl.

OP & ED theme information is released!

In addition, the OP & ED theme and artist information were released.

The OP theme "Theater of Life" will be performed by Konomi Suzuki and the ED theme "Ark of Memory" by Ryotaro Ito. Comments from each artist have been received, so let us introduce them here.

The OP theme "Theater of Life" is a song about the attitude of people who are grasping their own way of life and the glimmer of the moment when they are sweating and living their own lives. It is a song that makes you want to take a big step forward, and I would be happy if I could support the characters with my singing voice!

I received the storyboard and read it carefully, and was drawn into the development of the story. I believe that I was able to express the similarities between the feelings of the characters and what I usually think about!
