A new title in the "Yokai Watch" series, "Yokai Gakuen Y: Wai Wai Gakuen Seikatsu" will be released in the summer of 2020 as a regularly updated and large downloadable title! The release of the packaged version is undecided.

Level-5 has announced that the PS4/Switch title "Yokai Gakuen Y: Wai Wai Gakuen Seikatsu" will be released in the summer of 2020.

This title is the latest in the "Yokai Watch" series, in which players make friends with yokai and join forces with them to help those in need. The main character, Jinpei, enrolls in a mysterious school called "Y-Gakuen," makes many friends, gets involved in incidents at the school, and tries to solve the mysteries that infest the school in order to become popular. The game is characterized by two parts: the school part, where the student can live a carefree life, and the RPG part, where the student fights against a grudge spirit to solve the student's problems.

This title was released as a large downloadable title, and free updates have been distributed several times since then. Each upgrade expands the ways to play in the work. The frequency of updates is about once a month. In addition, this title is for one player at the time of distribution, but the update will also implement a multiplayer mode. The release of the packaged version has not yet been determined.
