GREAT PRETENDER," a new anime by WIT STUDIO, creators of "Shinkage no Kyojin" and "Mahoutsukai no Yome," has released a project PV featuring its splendid main staff members in preparation for its broadcast.

Directed by Hiro Kaburaki, who has worked on "Onikan no Retsu" and "91 Days", the scriptwriter Ryota Furusawa, who has worked on hits such as "Always: Sunset on Third Street" and "Confidence Man JP", is taking on the challenge of writing the script and series composition for a TV anime series for the first time. This work is a story about an epic "con game" that spans the globe. Makoto Edamura, a self-proclaimed "Japan's number one genius swindler," is tricked by Laurent Thierry, a confidant who plays even the mafia for tricks, and gets caught up in a "con game" of extraordinary proportions on the world stage. He gets caught up in a "con game" that is out of this world. ...... is crime entertainment at its finest.

In preparation for the broadcast of the film, a project PV featuring the gorgeous main staff members has been released.
The five members of the project include Hiro Kaburaki (director), Ryota Furusawa (screenplay and series composition), Hirotaka Kato (sub-character design and chief animation director), and WIT STUDIO, which handles the production, as well as Taketsugu Wada (producer) and Maiko Okada (animation producer).

Rare comments from the staff were revealed about the beginning of the "GREAT PRETENDER" project, which aimed to create a poignant and entertaining action drama, the depth of the epic story and human drama that unfolds with the theme of a con man, and the appeal of the characters portrayed by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.
The film also touches on the behind-the-scenes production process, including the realistic worldview that was created by researching all over the world.

Comic adaptation of "GREAT PRETENDER" is coming!

Magcomi" and "LINE Manga" have decided to publish a comic version of "GREAT PRETENDER"! The first volume of the comics will be released on July 10 (Fri.) to coincide with the broadcast.
