Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga by Akutami Gege, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from issue 14, 2018. The first volume of the comic was released in July 2018 and is currently in its 10th volume. A high school student with exceptional physical abilities, Yuuji Toradori, makes it a daily routine to visit his grandfather, who is lying on a sick bed. One day, the seal of a "cursed object" lying dormant at school is broken, and a monster appears. In order to save his senpai who was left behind, Torajo rushes into the school building, but he eats the "Double Sided Tsuina Finger", a special grade spell, and the curse is placed in his soul. ......

The anime adaptation will be directed by Atsushi Park (GARO -VANISHING LINE-, THE GOD OF HIGH SCHOOL), with series composition and screenplay by Koji Seko (Dorohedoro, SHINGEKI NO KYOTSU), character design by Teishi Hiramatsu, and music by Hiroaki Tsutsumi. Hiroshi Seko ("Dorohedoro" and "Shinkoku no Kyohei") will write the series composition and script, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Junmasa Terui, and Arisa Okezama will design the music. MAPPA, which has produced "Zombieland Saga" and "Listener's Listener," will be in charge of animation production.

I was working in Korea at the time, so I was told about the project during our Skype meeting. I had not read the original work, so I read it right away, and it was very interesting and quite exciting. My daughters are also fans of the original work, and for the first time in my 17 years in the animation industry, I got their approval ^_^.
I hope to take the characters from the manga to new heights with the voice actors' performances and the animations that come to life. We hope you will support Jujutsu Kaisen Animation.

I read the original story after receiving the offer, and I was pulled in by how interesting and cool it was - just like the Jump movies I used to devour every week when I was a kid. I am honored to be able to participate in such a work.
The highlight of the film is the character interactions and battles. I believe that "Jujutsu Kaisen" is a work in which the characters themselves have strong personalities that set them apart from others, and when these characters interact with each other, an explosive chemical reaction occurs. I myself am really looking forward to the battles, and I can't wait to see them!
