Information about Season 2 of the Japan Nationals, an e-sports tournament for the tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege, is now available!

Ubisoft has announced details regarding Season 2 of the Japan Nationals, an eSports tournament for its current tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege.

Rainbow Six Siege, a tactical shooter released in 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, focuses on multiplayer, where 10 players take on the role of "operators" with special equipment and fight on the offensive and defensive sides. The game is one of the most popular e-sports titles in the world today, featuring a severe system in which teamwork is extremely important due to the small number of players, and players must use special abilities to regain their strength.

The "Japan Nationals" is Japan's premier e-sports tournament using "Rainbow Six Siege" with cash prizes, consisting of a qualifying round open to anyone with five players per team, and a final match between the winning teams from the qualifying rounds, to be held on PS4 and PC respectively. Season 2 will be held throughout the year starting in April 2020, with a total prize pool of 5 million yen, and on the PC version, the top two teams from Seasons 1 and 2 will qualify for the offline grand finals.
