Additional theaters for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" & "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" 4DX revival screenings are scheduled!

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char of the Counterattack" and "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" were screened in theaters from June 2019 as part of the "Gundam Video New Experience TOUR," a project that is part of Gundam's 40th anniversary. The 4DX revival screenings of those two films had been scheduled at 20 theaters nationwide starting June 19 (Fri.), 2020, with additional screenings at 11 theaters nationwide. In addition, the screening of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" at AEON CINEMA's new generation theater "ULTIRA" and Cinema Sunshine's next generation cinema format "BESTIA" from June 5 (Fri.) has also been added to the list of screening theaters.

The "Gundam New Visual Experience Tour" is a project to screen mainly past Gundam theater films using the latest screening technologies such as 4DX. Both first-time Gundam viewers and those who have already enjoyed Gundam to the fullest have been treated to fresh impressions and surprises, and last year's screenings of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char of the Counterattack" and "Mobile Suit Gundam NT" were a great success.

Outline of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" for "ULTIRA" and "BESTIA" screenings

Additional theaters for "ULTIRA" and "BESTIA" will be added to the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" lineup.

ULTIRA" is AEON CINEMA's proprietary new-age theater. The bright and clear large screen, with a specially designed silver screen that extends to the ceiling and fills the theater from left to right, and the clear sound produced by state-of-the-art speakers and amplifiers, provide an immersive experience that makes you feel as if you have stepped inside the movie.

BESTIA" is Cinema Sunshine's proprietary next-generation cinema format. The state-of-the-art laser projection system and 3D sound are combined to create a sense of unity between the images and the audience. This is the first time that "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" will be screened in the "Bestia" format.
