Hiroko Moriguchi's "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" ED "Believe in the Starry Sky" from "GUNDAM SONG COVERS 2" will be distributed in advance!

Gundam Song Covers 2" is the second cover song album of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series sung by Hiroko Moriguchi. The release of the album had been postponed to September 16, 2020 (Wednesday) due to the "declaration of state of emergency" caused by the spread of the new coronavirus, but the cover sound of "Believe in the starry sky," the ending theme of "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" from the songs included in the album, will be distributed in advance on June 10 (Wednesday), the original album release date. The album will be released in 2019 and will be distributed in advance.

Released in 2019, the album reached No. 3 on the Oricon Weekly Ranking, topped 100,000 CD sales, and won the "61st Shine! Japan Record Award, and won the "61st Shine! Japan Record Award, Planning Award," for her Gundam song cover and self-cover album "GUNDAM SONG COVERS. The sequel album is "GUNDAM SONG COVERS 2". The price is 3,000 yen (excluding tax).

Hoshizora no Believe" is the ending theme song of the TV animation "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" broadcast in 1985, and was composed by Maya Ayukawa. At that time, Hiroko Moriguchi made her debut with the opening theme "Ai wo Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" (Love to the Water Star) for the same work, so "Hoshizora no Believe" became a deeply memorable song cover that recalls her debut.

The soundtrack will be available on Apple Music, Spotify, Recochoku, mora, and various other distribution services from June 10 (Wed.) at 0:00.

Prior to the distribution, the song will be aired on radio programs where Hiroko Moriguchi is a regular personality on June 5 (Fri.), including "KISS & SMILE" on bayfm (every Friday from 13:00-15:51) and "Anison Days+" on Bunka Hoso (every Friday from 26:30-27:00). (every Friday from 26:30 to 27:00).

In addition, we have received a comment from Ms. Moriguchi, which we will introduce below (in Japanese only).

Hiroko Moriguchi's comment
I was surprised.
Listening to "Believe in the Starry Sky" under these circumstances, it is as if it were expressing the current suffering of the earth, Japan, and those of us who are fighting against something invisible. I don't think it was a coincidence that I was chosen to cover this song. The refreshing and beautiful melody is so synchronized with each lyric that it seems to have been foretold.
Since their debut song "Ai wo Hoshi e Ai wo Komete" from 1985 was the opening theme of "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" and Maya Ayukawa's "Hoshizora no Believe" was the ending theme, the song was very familiar to me and became a special cover. Since the release of the song was postponed, I hope that the advance distribution will bring a smile to the fans who have been waiting for it. I hope that the power of believing in "Believe" will reach all those who are living while maintaining social distance.
