SEE announces the design of the PlayStation 5 next-generation game console and peripherals, along with 28 PS5 game titles!

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) unveiled the main body and design of the next-generation console game console "PlayStation 5" (PS5) at the video event "PS5 - THE FUTURE OF GAMING SHOW" held on June 12, 2020 in the early morning (Japan time). At the video event, the company unveiled a novel two-tone color design that sets it apart from previous PlayStation console game consoles. The PlayStation 5 is available in two models: a standard model with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and a digital edition without the disc drive.

In addition, 28 PS5 exclusive games and titles were announced at this video event. The lineup is diverse, ranging from major titles to indies, including "Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales," "Gran Turismo 7," and "Horizon Forbidden West." As noted in the list, "Grand Theft Auto," one of the biggest franchises in gaming history, will appear as a PS5 title. Grand Theft Auto V ("GTAV") and GTA Online will be enhanced and expanded to take full advantage of the PS5 hardware and its new features to fully enjoy a true next-generation console experience and will be available in late 2021.

GTA Online will be available for free to all PS5 users for the first three months after launch, and if they acquire the title within this period, they will be able to play it indefinitely (online multiplayer requires a PlayStation Plus subscription). In addition, starting today, June 12, owners of the PlayStation 4 version of GTAV will receive a monthly gift of $1 million in GTA money to spend in-game until the PS5 version launches in 2021.
