A home arcade machine that lets you play the classic "Space Invaders" in the palm of your hand, released in mid-August!

InfoLens will release a new product, Space Invaders, from its Retro Arcade series of home-use arcade cabinet game machines in mid-August 2020 at electronics retail stores and mail order sites nationwide. It will be priced at 5,480 yen (excluding tax).

The "Space Invaders" home-use arcade game machine is a palm-sized console that allows users to casually play "Space Invaders," which first appeared as an arcade game in 1978 and became an explosive hit. The main unit measures approximately 170 mm (H) x 103 mm (W) x 155 mm (D) and weighs approximately 680 grams.

The product employs a reflective projection-type display system that makes full use of half mirrors. Among the many "Space Invaders" replicas, this product is the first in the world to use this display method (according to the manufacturer: dreamGEAR).

The product also features a backlit lunar landscape, a program that faithfully reproduces the arcade specifications of the time, and other details that will make any enthusiast swoon, and is a reproduction of the upright cabinet of the time.
