Sega announced that the official Sega professional tournament for the 2019 SEASON 2 season, "Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON 2 March Tournament," which had been postponed to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020, and "Puyo Puyo Finals SEASON 2" on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Sega Sammy Group headquarters in Osaki, Tokyo. The "Puyo Puyo Finals SEASON 2" will be held at the headquarters of SEGA SAMMY Group (Osaki, Tokyo) on June 21 (Sun.), 2020, and will be streamed live on the Internet.

The "Puyo Puyo Championship SEASON 2 March Tournament" to be held on Saturday, June 20 is the final round of the "SEASON 2" championship. The winner will be awarded 1 million yen, and the contestants for the "Puyo Puyo Finals SEASON 2," which will be held the following day on Sunday, June 21, to determine the annual champion of the professional players.

The "Puyo Puyo Finals SEASON 2" to be held on June 21 (Sun.) will feature a total of eight professional players with the highest season ranking and championship point total for the season to determine the strongest professional player. The winner will receive 1 million yen in prize money.
