Crayon Shin-chan x Kraft Boss "To All the Fathers" - Trailer

Details and Captures

The story begins with a scene where Hiroshi carries heavy cardboard boxes to the Nohara household during a big cleanup.
Shinnosuke and Himawari playfully slip between Hiroshi's legs, causing him to stumble and fall. Among the albums and photos that have fallen out of the cardboard and are scattered about, he finds a photo of Shinnosuke shortly after his birth.

Hiroshi says, "Oh, it brings back memories! Shinnosuke is so tiny! (laughs)"
Hiroshi then recalls his life after Shinnosuke was born.
It was a busy time for him, both publicly and privately, with a lot of work.
Hiroshi said, "When I think back to those days, I was busy with work.... I was running on empty. Me."

However, even though he was busy with work, Hiroshi was considerate of the tired Misae and tried his best to raise his children, even though he made mistakes. At times, he even gets peed on while changing Shinnosuke's diaper.
Hiroshi says, "It must have been hard for Misae, too."

After the birth of Hiwamari, Shinnosuke grows up to be a big brother, nursing Himawari and protecting her from stray cats.
Hiroshi said, "Such Shinnosuke is now an older brother! Children grow up well, don't they?"

Thinking back on this, Hiroshi mumbles a question in a whisper, to which Shinnosuke replies, "I'm a bit of a big brother myself.
Hiroshi "I wonder if I'm... growing up a little too...?
Shinnosuke: "What? Kancho?"
Hiroshi "It's growing up!"
Shinnosuke "Tomi-chan, you're an adult, right? Don't you have to be a big boy now?"
Hiroshi suddenly realized something at Shinnosuke's words, smiled and took a breath as if he had loosened up.

And then, the Nohara family returned to their usual routine, with Shinnosuke goofing around and the whole family spending a happy time together, surrounded by smiles.

-To all the Nohara Hiroshis.

Director Wataru Takahashi's special comment
In commemoration of the release of the movie, he talked about the highlights of the movie and his message to "Crayon Shin-chan" fans.

Director Wataru Takahashi's special comment

---What do you think of the completed movie?
I didn't think I would be able to make a film just on the subject of Hiroshi's inner life, so I was able to work on it with a fresh mind. I had to think about Hiroshi Nohara again, and I realized that he is an amazing but not so amazing, friendly guy. He is busy with work and struggling to raise a child for the first time, and I am sure he is going through a really tough time, but the fact that he does not hide the fact that he is not cool, that he complains and blabs and has smelly feet, is appealing, or at least it makes me feel relieved. I think he is able to express his uncool true feelings because his wife, Misae, Shinnosuke, Himawari, and the rest of the family accept him. They are a wonderful family.

---What are the highlights of this movie?
I hope you can see how the Nohara family has grown over the past five years. I think the first five years of raising a child is a stormy and difficult time, but I think many things happen during that time, including happy times and painful times. I think the highlight of the film is that it depicts these various emotions through the presence of the father, Hiroshi Nohara.

---What is the message behind this movie?
I hope that through Hiroshi's way of life, I could deliver strength, courage, and warmth to the viewer. Also, as always, there are some funny scenes, so I hope you can enjoy laughing with the Nohara family.

--- You have been involved in many "Crayon Shin-chan" series films, but this is the first time for you to direct a web movie. What were some of the differences from the movie version?
Simply put, it is the length of the video. Compared to the theatrical version, the web animation is shorter, so it was difficult to convey what I wanted to say within that short time frame. Therefore, I approached this animation as if I were making a trailer for a full-length movie called "The Story of Hiroshi Nohara. Also, the production staff were all old acquaintances and trusted people, so I was able to relax in a good way and work on the project.

---Lastly, please give a message to the viewers of the movie and to "Crayon Shin-chan" fans all over Japan.
I am sure this video will give you strength. I hope that people will watch it and express their gratitude, even if it is just a single word of "Thank you" to To-chan people all over the country. I think "Arigato" will make the whole of Japan a little brighter today.
