Electronic Arts to release soccer game "FIFA 21" on Oct. 9, with free update to PS5.

Electronic Arts announced today, June 22, 2020, that it will release the soccer game "FIFA 21" for PS4/Xbox One/PC (Steam/Origin) on Friday, October 9, 2020. The game will be powered by the Frostbite engine and will offer unprecedented variety of play from the streets to the stadium. It will include the "UEFA Champions League" as well as leagues such as the "CONMEBOL Libertadores."

The PS4 version of "FIFA 21" will cost 7,909 yen (excluding tax) for both packaged and downloadable versions, while the limited edition "ULTIMATE EDITION" will cost 11,818 yen (excluding tax). The limited edition "ULTIMATE EDITION" will be 11,818 yen (excluding tax).

(*Purchasers of the packaged version will not be able to upgrade to the digital edition without a PS5 disc drive.)

The FIFA 21 Legacy Edition for Nintendo Switch will also be released on the same day. This is the updated version of the stadium, uniform kit, and team and player data from the Nintendo Switch "FIFA 20 Legacy Edition" and will have the same gameplay features and modes as the "FIFA 20 LegacyEdition". Both the packaged and downloadable versions will be priced at 5,091 yen (excluding tax).

The PC version of "FIFA 21" will be compatible with Google Stadia, a subscription game streaming service provided by Google, this winter.
