Railroad personification anime "Reel Romanesque" to be animated in the fall of 2020! The main heroine will be played by Uesaka Sumire.

Based on the world of the popular game "Maitetsu pure station" currently on sale on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, the new anime "Reel Romanesque," featuring original characters called "Railroads" who are anthropomorphic railroads, will begin airing in the fall of 2020.

The anime is set in a country where most of the railroads have been lost due to the Great Abandonment - Kusu in Hinomoto is the city of Goichiya in Kumamoto Prefecture. The city has successfully rebuilt its economy by promoting tourism with the steam locomotive "8620" and its rail rodeo "HACHIROKU" as the main characters. The city is planning to hold the "1st Maiteki-Matsuri Festival" with the aim of further revitalization. In conjunction with the festival, railroads, humanoid modules used to control the operation of railcars, will gather from all over the country. The story is told at ......, with the famous Railrod "Suzushiro" at the center, as they gather their wisdom to add even more color to the "Maitekisai".

The TV anime adaptation will be directed by Hirasawa Hisayoshi, with character design by Noguchi Takayuki, and animation production by Saetta.

It was also announced that the main heroine "Suzushiro," a railrod for Mangoka Railway's C1267, will be played by Uesaka Sumire, and "Kiko," a railrod for Mejiya Railway's Hodgepodge 6005 and Hodgepodge 6016, by Suzaki Aya.

In addition, crowdfunding regarding this work will begin in early July. Those who support the project will be able to participate in VR previews and receive Blu-ray and other gifts. Details will be updated on the official website.
