Commemorating the 60th anniversary of Sega's establishment! Sonic the Hedgehog Yaki" will go on sale at "Sega's Taiyaki" on June 26th (Friday)!

Sonic the Hedgehog Yaki, a baked good in the shape of Sonic the Hedgehog (hereafter, Sonic), will be available at Sega's Taiyaki Ikebukuro (Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo) and Akihabara (Akihabara, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) stores from June 26, 2020 (Friday). The price is 300 yen (tax included).

Since "Sonic the Hedgehog" was released by Sega Enterprises (now Sega Games) in 1991, the "Sonic" series has been developed for a variety of game consoles. The game's innovative gameplay, in which players race through game stages at blinding speeds, and the cool character of Sonic, a blue hedgehog who runs at the speed of sound, have won the hearts of game fans in Japan and around the world, and continue to be loved by them.
On June 26, 2020 (Friday), "Sonic the Movie," a Hollywood live-action film based on the popular Japanese character "Sonic," which has sold a total of approximately 920 million copies worldwide (including downloads), will be released.

Since the opening of "Sega's Taiyaki" in 2018, the timing of the release of the "Sonic the Hedgehog Yaki" has been considered many times, but this year marks the 60th anniversary of Sega's establishment, and it will be released as a memorial to that occasion.

Sonic's original can badge (350 yen [tax included]) will also be on sale, so be sure to check it out as well.
