Let's make "Frame Music Girl Miku Sakura" with a little effort! YU-GO's Character Modeling LABO Vol. 2

It seems like spring has finally arrived, but now it feels like it's getting hotter and hotter.

This time, I would like to relive the feeling of spring that has passed so quickly with "Frame Music Girl Sakura Miku," a collaboration kit of Kotobukiya's original content "Frame Arms Girl" and "Hatsune Miku.

Now, let's open the box! Inside, there are many bright pink parts! It's like cherry blossoms are in full bloom!

I tried assembling it while in the mood for cherry blossom viewing, but the parts snapped into place with ease, so it went together without any stress.

A commemorative photo with Todoroki Senpai! I can feel the evolution of FAG (Frame Arms Girl).

The kit is color-coded, and the hair parts are molded translucent, so it can be enjoyed without painting.

The cuteness of Sakura Miku has been well reproduced, and although it looks great unassembled, this time I decided on a theme and added a little extra effort to the creation process.

Since Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid, I decided to go with the theme of "an outfit with a realistic feel, as if it were used for a photo shoot or on stage.

The hair is molded translucent, so to make the most of it, I scraped off the dowels and dowel holes in prominent parts.

This time, too, I used "Carbide Scraper" (FANTEC) and "Awesome! Tool" (FANTEC), "Awesome! Kisage Cutter" (Doyusha), and "Kami Yasu 400-600" (God Hand), depending on the location.

For fine parts, a self-made file is a great help!

Water-resistant paper is attached to a "wood stick for nail care" sold at a hundred-yen store with instant adhesive. Since it is made of wood, it is convenient to cut the tip with a cutter, etc. to use it for filing fine parts.

Metal minus mold" made by Naniwa Screws is embedded in each part of the waist unit. The texture of the metal as it is is a nice accent.

Speaker (?) The central part has been changed to "WAVE- H-Eyes [3] Mini". It is painted in clear pink to match the "speaker loan."

The clear part of the sleeve can be easily accented with lappy tape at the base for a good accent.

For the skin, use the standard "GSI Creos Mr. Topcoat Water-based Premium Topcoat Glossy Spray".

Here is a one-point technique. After allowing the premium topcoat to dry completely, apply UV craft resin solution (available at craft supply stores, etc.) to the eyes.

The trick is to use a toothpick or similar tool to "ride" the resin using surface tension.

The eyes will look amazingly lifelike, so we recommend this.

For the hair part, I made use of the translucent material as it is, and sprayed GSI Creos' "GX Clear Pink" on the tip and shadow part with an airbrush, and then coated the whole area with a thin layer of Unmodo Honpo's Bismuth Pearl.

The advantage of this method is that you can redo it as many times as you like even if you fail in spraying the first shadow.

Completed! The body itself is finished by non-suffing. The costume is sprayed with Bismuth Pearl from Unmodo Honpo, varying the concentration and number of times it is sprayed depending on the location, to create different textures.

For the skin color, I used "Frame Arms Girl Color Base Fresh" from Gaianotes mixed with "Notes Fresh Orange".

To finish, I sprayed "Premium Top Coat Glossy Finish".

Attractive back view

The natural "angel ring" is a charm point☆.

The sleeveless arm parts can be reconfigured. It gives a sporty image.

The stems and leaves of the cherries are matted, while the fruits are glossy.

Another charm point is that each ring part is sprayed with Gaianotes' "Ultimate Black" and then sprayed with Premium Mirror Chrome to add a metallic texture.

Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid.

I knew I wanted her to sing on stage ......, so I came up with .......

I also made a special stage for it.

I recommend using a round display stand and cherry blossom masking stickers.

I wanted to have a light on the stage, so I decorated the speaker drone with lights☆.

I modified the circuit of a bicycle cycle light, so it can emit light in three stages: on, blinking quickly, and blinking slowly.

It's show time!"

There are three types of face parts, so you can create a variety of expressions.

Magical Mirai on the Desk

The live is in its final stage, but here is a list of the main tools used in this example.

Carbide Scraper" (Fantec), "Awesome! Tool" (FANTEC), "Awesome! Kisage Cutter" (Doyusha), "Kami Yasu #400-#800" (God Hand), "Sponge Knight 3mm thick #320 melamine sponge" (Argo File Japan).

The paint used for detail painting was "GSI Creos Gundam Marker EX Shine Silver.

Gundam Real Touch Marker Pink" was used for the shadow of the hand.

Smudging was done with "Gaianotes Enamel Color Magenta.

How was it?

This Sakura Miku was a wonderful kit that can be used for various effects and expressions when completed.

It is a lot of work to finish each component one by one, but the joy of completion is worth it, and you will want to take photojournalistic PHOTO's from various angles.

This year we were not able to enjoy cherry blossom viewing due to the new coronavirus, but I hope that these examples will help you feel a little of the spring that has passed so quickly.

Please visit ...... with the hope that you will be able to see beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom next year.

Thank you."

See you again in the next example!
