Stage "Assault Lily" doubles theater size to clear audience density, a bold measure!　Report on the press conference where the future of stage contents by Bushiroad Inc. was discussed.

Bushiroad Inc. held a press conference on the future of the company's stage productions, with various 2.5-dimensional stage performances scheduled for this summer and fall. Chairman Takaaki Kitani of Bushiroad Inc. and others made various announcements.

At this press conference, announcements were made regarding three productions: "Girls' Opera Revue Starlight," "We are RAISE A SUILEN~BanG Dream!

The stage "Girls' Opera Revue Starlight-The LIVE" was scheduled to be performed from July 3 to 5, 2020, but was postponed due to the Corona incident. As one of the alternatives, the first online performance "Girls☆Geki Revue Starlight-The LIVE ONLINE-" will be held on July 12, Sunday at 18:00. Under the guidelines established by Nerke Planning, the performers and staff are undergoing thorough infection control and antibody testing.

Ms. Kitani said, "The (online performance) started out as a studio live performance only, but with the enthusiasm of the staff and cast, it became a prequel to the planned stage performance with a storyline, live performance, and talk part. I think we have created a new stage production, including the direction," he said.

The stage "We are RAISE A SUILEN～BanG Dream! The Stage" scheduled for July 15-19, 2020, will be performed at the Ginga Theater as planned. Each performance will be streamed on the Internet from a fixed-point camera, and the final performance will be shown live at theaters nationwide. Internet streaming will be available on the live video streaming service "PIA LIVE STREAM" for a fee of 1,900 yen (tax included).

Taro Okada, producer of "Assault Lily," took the stage and announced that the stage "Assault Lily: The Fateful Gift" would be the official title of the "Assault Lily September 2020 Performance (tentative)," which was scheduled for September 2020, and would be held as planned from September 3 to 13, 2020. As for the Corona measure, the venue for "Stage Assault Lily: The Fateful Gift" will be changed from Kameari Lirio Hall to Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL. Tickets for some performances will be available by special lottery from July 11 to 26, and will be sold to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis from August 8. Prior to the stage performance, a video streaming of the stage performance "Assault Lily: League of Gardens" held in January is scheduled to be distributed in late July and in early August.

After the press conference, Makoto Matsuda, Chairman of Nerke Planning, Inc. appeared as a guest to talk with Ms. Kitani. Mr. Matsuda, chairman of Nerke, has been involved in the planning of "Girls' Opera Revue Starlight" since its inception, and is a close friend of the company.

When asked about the current state of the stage industry, Mr. Matsuda replied, "The stage industry is gradually taking on the challenge of performing with half the seats or no audience. I feel that the situation is gradually getting better," said Mr. Kitani. "This weekend, New Japan Pro-Wrestling will reopen Osaka-jo Hall (a venue originally designed to hold 10,000 people) with 3,500 people in it. I'm still happy about it, and I'm going to Osaka, too. I can't miss it. It's a tough situation, but the audience is supporting us by buying goods through online shopping," he said joyfully. Regarding the future of the theater community, Matsuda said, "I think the future of any genre will be one in which realism and delivery go hand in hand. Rather than subtracting from entertainment, we will enter an era in which we will be able to add fun, enjoyment, and pleasure that can only be achieved through distribution," he said, giving the online performance "Girls' Opera Revue Starlight-The LIVE ONLINE-" the stamp of approval that it is something that only video can provide.
