PS4 "Zombie Survival Colony Builder They Are Billions" details military and defense facilities that protect the colony from zombies.

Spike Chunsoft has released information about the military and defense facilities used to protect colonies from massive numbers of zombies in "Zombie Survival Colony Builder They Are Billions," a simulation game for PS4 scheduled for release on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

They Are Billions" is a simulation game about the construction and defense of colonies (settlements) in a world infested with billions of zombies. The main features of "They Are Billions" are "building a strong city" that can resist hordes of attacking zombies, and the "massive number of zombies" that fill the screen. The game has been highly acclaimed by users for its depiction of zombies.

Introduction of high-powered military facilities

Humans protect their colonies from zombies by deploying trained soldiers and various military facilities. Among military facilities, a group of facilities called "attack towers" is a large weapon that plays an important role in defending the colony. When attack towers are attacked by zombies, the workers who operate the towers become infected, so the location and timing of tower placement is important.

To construct an attack tower, it is necessary to secure a construction site with an energy supply from the command center or windmill shed. In the absence of energy supply, not only attack towers but also any other facilities cannot be constructed, and therefore, the "Tesla Tower," a facility that relays energy, is constructed to expand the supply area.

<Military facilities

Ballista
A crossbow that shoots large arrows. It requires relatively few resources for construction among attack towers and can be used at an early stage. It has a wide range of fire, but can only hit one zombie at a time.

Shocking Tower
A tower that attacks zombies with electric pulses. It is a powerful weapon that can attack all zombies in range at the same time. It has a drawback that it cannot fire in rapid succession because of the time it takes to recharge after each shot.

Wasp
A machine gun that detects zombies and fires automatically. As an unmanned weapon, it has the advantage of not being easily targeted by zombies, making it a very reliable weapon.

Watchtower
A tower to monitor the surrounding area. When constructed, these towers provide a wide area of visibility, making it easier to keep track of zombie movements.

Introduction of defense facilities that can be operated unmanned

There is a limit to the number of workers in a colony, and if all the workers are assigned to soldiers or military facilities, it will be difficult to expand the colony without industrial development. It is necessary to combine defense facilities that can be operated unmanned, and to enhance defense and industry in a well-balanced manner.

<Defense Facilities

Defense Wall
The most basic defense facility. It stops zombies and prevents them from entering the colony. Gates allow soldiers to come and go.

Laying traps
Traps that are laid on the ground. Wooden stakes and barbed wire mesh slow the zombies' movement speed, but are less lethal. Mines, on the other hand, inflict heavy damage, but their effect is only effective once.

Watchtower
A tower used by units to keep an eye on their surroundings. Units placed on these towers have a wider field of view and range than normal, allowing them to quickly deal with zombies approaching the colony.
