Bring back the arcade frenzy of those days at home!　Sega plans to release the arcade cabinet mini-game machine "Astro City Mini" in December 2020!

Sega Toys has decided to release in December 2020 the Astro City Mini, a mini-game machine that faithfully reproduces the Astro City game cabinet that appeared in game arcades in the 1990s at one-sixth the size. This product will be released by Sega Toys and marketed by Sega as part of the Sega Group's 60th anniversary project.

The "Astro City" is an arcade cabinet that was introduced in 1993, and was the first resin cabinet to draw a line with the previous cabinet designed solely by sheet metal processing. The light weight of this innovative arcade cabinet made it popular in many game arcades nationwide, and approximately 50,000 units were installed. Various SEGA games were installed in "Astro City," especially "Virtua Fighter," the world's first 3D fighting game at the time, which created a huge movement in game arcades at the time.

The new "Astro City Mini" is a palm-sized reissue of the familiar "Astro City" arcade cabinet at one-sixth the size of its predecessor. Like "Astro City," which was the first resin cabinet when it was first released, the main body is reproduced in resin. The original design has been faithfully reproduced in the palm of your hand. Despite its small size, the control buttons and joystick are made of the same materials and operability as those used on the original machine, in pursuit of realism. It also features illumination reminiscent of arcade machines. The sticks and buttons on the console can be used to enjoy games by connecting it to a home TV with an HDMI cable, and up to two players can play by using the control pad (sold separately), which will be released simultaneously.

The design may be subject to change under supervision.

The console will include a total of 36 titles, including "Virtua Fighter," as well as classic, honorable mentions, and even some fantastic Sega arcade games. The following 10 titles were announced this time. Other titles will be announced as they become available.
