The 31MU97-B, a 31-inch LCD monitor with a DCI 4K-compatible IPS panel, is now available from LG Electronics.

The 31MU97-B is a model that supports a wider resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels (17:9 aspect ratio) compared to the usual 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels). It is compliant with the 4K standard of the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI), an international standard for digital cinema, and can display full-screen images produced under the DCI standard without the black bars (letterboxing) that occur at the top and bottom of the screen.

In addition to high resolution, the monitor supports a wide color gamut, achieving more than 99.5% AdobeRGB and 97% DCI-P3. In addition, the dual color space function allows two color gamuts to be output simultaneously on a single screen. This allows users to simultaneously check color tones for printing and for the Web.

In addition, it supports DCM (DICOM) color gamma values for medical applications and hardware calibration functions.
