Shuttle's H97-based cube barebone with three-screen output capability goes on sale on November 13!

Shuttle has introduced the SH97R6, a cube-shaped barebone with Intel H97 Express chipset.

Confirmed on sale 11/13. Price added.

The SH97R6 is a barebone kit that can be equipped with an LA1150-compatible CPU with a TDP of 95W or lower, including Haswell Refresh. It is equipped with two DisplayPort and one HDMI video output terminals to support simultaneous 3-screen output. DisplayPort supports up to 4K (3840 x 2160) output at a refresh rate of 60 Hz (4K/30 Hz for HDMI).

Incidentally, the recommended environment for 4K output is a CPU with Intel HD Graphics 4600 or higher, and an additional 16 GB of memory is required for video playback. Note that 4K output in extended mode, which outputs the contents of three separate screens simultaneously, is not recommended.

Expansion slots are 1 x PCI Express x16, 1 x PCI Express x4, and 2 x Mini PCI Express (one full-size and one half-size; the full side supports mSATA). Memory is DIMM x 4 (DDR3-1600/1333, maximum capacity 32GB). The number of bays is 1 x 5-inch and 2 x 3.5-inch shadow.

Main I/O includes 5.1ch sound, Gigabit LAN, SATA 6Gbps x 3, eSATA x 1, USB 3.0 x 2, USB 2.0 x 2, and AUDIO IN/OUT. The power supply is 300W (80 PLUS BRONZE certified). The main unit measures 216 (W) x 332 (D) x 198 (H) mm and weighs 3.5 kg.
