The anime film "Expelled from Paradise," which opened in theaters on November 15, is off to a great start.

Expelled from Paradise" is a completely original anime film by Toei Animation and Nitroplus. Directed by Seiji Mizushima, script by Gen Urobuchi, character design by Masatsugu Saito, and animation production by Graphinica. The story is about an investigator, Angela, who descends to the devastated earth to solve the mystery of a hacking master who calls himself Frontier Setter, after DIVA, a safe haven for human beings, is invaded by a mysterious hacking attack.

The film began screening at only 13 theaters nationwide on November 15. On the second day, all the screenings were full from the morning, and all the screenings during the day were also full. The film was an exceptional smash hit, drawing 17,274 moviegoers and generating 29,194,600 yen in box-office revenue over the two-day weekend. Incidentally, for the same T-Joy distributed film, these figures exceeded those of "HK Transformation Mask" and "Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C SSS 3D," both of which were also hits, and future growth can be expected.
