Comments by Mayo Ryokaze
--How do you feel about the actual recording?
This time I played Oskar for the first time in 23 years. I challenged myself to create a new image of Oskar, and I feel like I have expanded my possibilities. When I read the script, I could not imagine how the film would turn out, but under the appropriate direction of director FROGMAN, I was able to enjoy the recording, and since this was my first experience of "prescoring" myself, I am looking forward to its completion.
--How did you feel when you were chosen to play the role of Oscar in the parody version of "The Rose of Versailles"?
I was very much looking forward to it. I always say, "I want to try different roles! I want to play roles outside of the box! I was thrilled to be able to take on the challenge of a new Oskar. Now I want to see the finished film before anyone else does.
--For anime fans, Ryoufu-san is familiar as Himura Kenshin in "Rurouni Kenshin. Is there any difference between your performance on stage and as a voice actor?
On stage, I play the role myself, but as a voice actor, I have to perform only with my voice. I believe that the voice actor's job is to convey the character's feelings through his or her voice, to "breathe the soul into the voice. In the second episode of the parody version of "The Rose of Versailles," I heard that Oskar has an extraordinary appearance, and I tried to play "Oskar's heart" as Oskar (smiles).
--Do you usually eat Calorie Mate?
Actually, I have never eaten it before. I am sorry. But I was surprised when I tasted the new "plain" product for the first time just now. It is very easy to eat and has a nice crunchy texture in the dough! It leaves a pleasant, clean aroma at the end. I recommend it to both women and men.
--Finally, a message to your fans!
Please look forward to a new and unprecedented Oskar. I myself am very much looking forward to it. Thank you very much for your support.

Amamiya Ten comment
--How did you feel when you were cast as Marie in the parody version of "The Rose of Versailles"?
I was surprised to hear that I would be playing the famous Marie Antoinette. I was surprised. To express the gorgeous and glittering world of the original "The Rose of Versailles," I played the role today with all my might.
--What is your impression of director FROGMAN?
I have a lot of FROGMAN T-shirts at home because my relative who lives in Shimane is a big fan and always buys them for me as souvenirs. I especially like the T-shirt that says "I told you there are no dunes! is my favorite T-shirt (laughs). During the recording, he actually did the voice of the minister, and I was surprised at how wonderful his voice was.
--Recently, you have been playing the role of a "princess" in various productions.
I think that "princesses" who grew up in a special environment have a certain pace, or a core strength that keeps them in line no matter what the situation. So, I try not to be a "normal person" in any pinch moment or even in small everyday conversations. In the second episode, Marie is transformed into an extraordinary figure, but I still tried my best to keep her core strength (laughs).
--Do you usually eat Calorie Mate?
Of course I do! I especially like the cheese and chocolate flavors. The cheese flavor is good as a meal and the chocolate flavor is good as a snack, so I choose according to my mood. I tasted the plain one today, and it has a nice crunchy texture accented by a refreshing sweetness. I get hungry easily during recording sessions, so I thought it would be nice to be able to eat them easily at such times.
--Lastly, do you have a message for your fans?
It was my first time to play the role of a "selfish princess" like Marie Antoinette, but this time, since it was a parody, I played the role with more panache and gusto than I have ever done before. When I read the script, I knew it was going to be a very enjoyable production, so I am looking forward to its completion, and I am sure you will enjoy it as well!
