Anime "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I: Casbal of the Blue Eyes" to begin screening on February 28, 2015!　New visuals and advance scene photos also released!

From the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin I: Casbal of the Blue Eyes," the screening start date has been set for February 28, 2015. A new PV was also released.

This is the first anime chapter of "Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin," a manga work by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, the character designer and animation director of the first Gundam, which began broadcasting in 1979 and has sold a total of 10 million copies. Mr. Yasuhiko returns to the animation industry after a 25-year absence with this work, and is in charge of general direction, character design, and storyboarding. The film depicts the story from the past of Char and Seira, to the beginning of the Zeon War of Independence, to which he says he has the deepest attachment. The film is directed by Takashi Imanishi ("Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 STARDUST MEMORY"), with mechanical design by Hajime Katoki ("Mobile Suit Gundam UC") and chief animation director Hiroyuki Nishimura ("Danboard Senki"). The cast includes Mayumi Tanaka as Casbal Rem Daiken, Megumi Ban as Artisia Som Daiken, Shin Urayama as Degin Sod Zabi, Manjo Galaxy as Guillen Zabi, Masahide Fuji as Saslo Zabi, Kenta Miyake as Dozul Zabi, and Akeno Watanabe as Xilia Zabi, Eizo Tsuda for Zeon Zum Daikon, Ayumi Tsunematsu for Astoria Tor Daikon, Shigeo Kiyama for Ramba Ral, Miyuki Sawashiro for Claure Hamon, Chafu Hayashi for Zimba Ral, Shua Aznable: Shuichi Ikeda, and Akio Otsuka for narration.

The screening date has been set for February 28, 2015, and will run until March 13 at 13 theaters nationwide for a limited two-week event. The usual BD pre-sale at theaters and advance paid distribution will also begin on the same day. The screening theaters are Shinjuku Piccadilly, Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro, TOHO Cinemas Nihonbashi, Yokohama Burg 13, MOVIX Kashiwanoha, MOVIX Saitama, MOVIX Utsunomiya, Namba Parks Cinema, Osaka Station City Cinema, MOVIX Kyoto, Fukuoka Nakasu Taiyo, and Midland Square Cinema, Sapporo Cinema Frontier.

Theater limited advance tickets with a Zion Party & Munzo Defense Force pin set will go on sale on November 29 for 2,000 yen, and Loppi limited advance tickets with a making-of BD will go on sale on February 12, 2015 for 5,000 yen.

The year is 0068 of the Universal Century, in the Autonomous Republic of Munzo on Side 3.
Zeon Zum Daikun, who preached the innovation of people in space and attempted to declare complete independence from the Earth Federation government, is suddenly thrust into the middle of a speech on the floor of the assembly.
He suddenly collapsed during a speech at a congressional podium and never returned home. After Daikun's death, Zimba Ral, a close associate of Daikun, advocated the Zabi family conspiracy theory.
However, the Zabi family, led by Degin Sod Zabi, accelerates its dark activities in order to seize control of Side 3 Munzo.
As the history of the upheaval, which had never been told before, comes to light, Daikun's orphans, Casbal and Artesia, are confronted with a strange story that symbolizes the turbulent times,
The fate of the two children of Daikun, Casval and Artesia, is revealed...
