Frieza, back to life as it was never meant to be! Animated film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'" to be released on April 18, 2015

New information has arrived from the new theatrical version of the "Dragon Ball Z" anime. The film will be released on April 18, 2015 as the animated film "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'".

This is the 19th Dragon Ball movie following "Dragon Ball Z: Gods and Gods," which was released in March 2013 as the first movie version in 17 years. It is a sequel to the previous "Gods and Gods," and is also notable for being scripted by the original author, Akira Toriyama, himself. The director is Naoki Yamamuro, a long-time animation director for the series, who participated in the previous film as the chief animation director.

The official title, release date, and poster visual have been released as new information. The "F" in the title refers to Frieza, the strongest and worst enemy, who sits in the center of the visual. The poster visual depicts three forces: Frieza, clad in a flaming aura; the Z fighters who stand up to him; and Birus, the God of Destruction who appeared in the previous film, and his close aide, Whis? The poster visual depicts the three forces?

Advance tickets with special offers will go on sale on December 6. The bonus "Akira Toriyama Super Evolutionary Strap for the Movie" is based on a new set of drawings by Toriyama, and there are two versions of the strap, a Goku version and a Frieza version. Goku will evolve from his normal body suit to the new body suit depicted in the poster visual, while Frieza will evolve from his first form to a fourth form wearing the "Celebration of Resurrection" tusk.
