Assembled USB DAC headphone amplifier from Genin-oriented! Also includes a modification instruction manual by a mysterious developer

The assembled USB DAC headphone amplifier "KURO-DAC-KIT" is now available from Genjinsho.

The "KURO-DAC-KIT" is an assembled kit version of the company's USB DAC headphone amplifier " KURO-DAC. The package includes a completed board, case, and DIP 8-pin op-amp, which can be assembled with a single screwdriver.

However, the company's product page includes modification instructions (PDF) by a mysterious developer, which can be used to strengthen the power supply and stabilize the DAC power supply. Note that although this is an official modification instruction manual, it is not covered by support or warranty.

Inputs are one digital (USB) and two analog (stereo RCA/6.3mm jacks, both exclusive). Outputs are headphones (stereo minijack).

The main specifications of each input/output are: USB input: supported frequency 16bit/48kHz; line input: level -4.5dBV, impedance 10kΩ; headphones: output level 12.6dBV, maximum output 140mW, impedance 0.16Ω.

Accessories include an AC adapter, USB cable, hexagonal wrench driver, and IC extraction tool. In addition, three different operational amplifiers, the NE5532, MUSE8920, and MUSE8820, are included.
