Shonen Jump+ x Animax Anime Scenario Grand Prize" is now open! Grand Prize winner will be adapted to manga + anime + 2 million yen prize money!

The "Shonen Jump + x Animax Anime Scenario Grand Prix" began accepting entries on December 1.



This is a joint project by "Shonen Jump + (Plus)," operated by Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump editorial department, and "Animax," an animation channel operated by Animax Broadcast Japan, Inc. The grand prize winner will receive a prize of 2 million yen and the right to have their work adapted into a comic book on Shonen Jump+ (an editor will be assigned to the project to support the creation of the scenario for the comic book). The grand prize winner will also receive 2 million yen and the right to have their work adapted into an anime and broadcast on Animax.

The contest is open to unpublished original scenarios based on the theme of "Your original scenario as imagined by Shonen Jump. In consideration of the anime adaptation, the scenario must be "30 to 40 minutes in length, and can be assumed to be a complete story. Entries can be submitted by mail from December 1, 2014, and by dedicated website and email from mid-January 2015. The deadline is March 31, 2015. The subsequent process will include a first and second round of judging, followed by a final judging and announcement of the grand prize winner in August 2015. The final judging will be attended by Akira Akatsuki, the manga artist in charge of drawing "Medaka Box" (serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2009 to 2013), which was originally written by Ishin Nishio, the chief editor of Weekly Shonen Jump, manga artists, animation script writers, and others.
