2015 Winter Anime "Junjyo no Maria" Announces Additional Characters/Cast, Including Mamiko Noto as Bib! New key visual and advance scene photos!

The second key visual, additional characters/cast, and other new information about the TV anime "Junjyo no Maria", which will start in January 2015, have been released simultaneously.



The anime "Mary of Innocence" is based on the manga by Masayuki Ishikawa. Set in medieval Europe during the Anglo-French Hundred Years War, the fantasy depicts a virgin witch with powerful magical powers, Maria, who creates a commotion to stop the war. Directed by Goro Taniguchi, series composition and script by Hideyuki Kurata, character design by Yuriko Senba, and animation production by Production I.G.

New information including the second key visual, additional characters/cast members, and advance scene photos have been released at once. Ai Kakuma plays Anne, a girl who visits Maria with her mother; Miyuki Ichijo plays Anne's grandmother, Martha; Tomoki Ono plays Galfa, a skilled mercenary working for the French army; Satoshi Shimada plays Guillaume, a French lord under Joseph's command; and Yvan, the leader of Galfa's "Red Arm Brotherhood Kenta Miyake is Ivan, the leader of the "Brotherhood of the Red Arm" to which Garfa belongs; Sachiko Kojima is Lolotto, a prostitute who does business with the mercenaries; Takahiro Sakurai is Bernard, the abbot of the monastery in town; Natsuki Hanae is Gilbert, an apprentice monk serving Bernard; and Bib, a witch from Winchester in southern England, is Noh. The witch Bibb, from Winchester in southern England, is played by Mamiko Noto.


In addition, the opening theme song will be ZAQ's "Philosophy of Dear World" and the ending theme song will be TRUE's "ailes.
