JOYSOUND Announces 2014 Karaoke Annual Ranking! Songs from "Anna and the Snow Queen" dominated the ranking, topping the ani-song category, beating out "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis," which has been No. 1 for seven consecutive years.

Karaoke "JOYSOUND" has announced its annual karaoke ranking for 2014.

This ranking is based on the number of songs sung on the "JOYSOUND" series/"UGA" series commercial karaoke machines from EXING Corporation. The period of tabulation was from January 1 to November 30, 2014.

The top song of 2014 was "Let It Go~Are You There~" by Takako Matsu, the theme song of Disney's animated film "Anna and the Snow Queen," which created a huge boom along with the film. It has been at the top of the weekly charts for 33 consecutive weeks since its debut at No. 1 in April. The song also ranked in the same category as "Open the Door," "Yukidaruma Tsukurou," and "Umarekutsu Hajimete," and dominated this year's karaoke scene. Furthermore, in the anime song category, "Geki na Tenshi no Thesis" from "Neon Genesis Evangelion," which had dominated the top spot for seven years in a row until 2013, was the best-selling song of the year, beating "Geki na Tenshi no Thesis" from "Neon Genesis Evangelion.

In the otaku category, the VOCALOID song "Senbonzakura" by WhiteFlame ranked third overall for the third consecutive year (and first in the VOCALOID category for the third consecutive year). Also, "Yokaidai Gymnastics No. 1," from the booming "Yokai Watch," also did well, coming in at No. 24 for the first time. In addition, "Kouren no Yumiya" from the continuously popular "Shinkage no Kyojin" also ranked in at No. 11 overall. In the Eastern music category, "Bubbles, Ai no Mahoroba" and "Benii Tsuki" entered the Top 20 despite making their first appearances. In the "Uta-Suki Video" category by artist, voice actress Nana Mizuki topped the list for the third consecutive year and will appear in the Kohaku Uta Gassen for the sixth year in a row, making her overwhelmingly popular.
