Adapter to convert USB storage devices to the cloud, Century's "USB HDD Utilizing Cloud" to be released next week

Samples of CENTURY's "USB HDD Utilizing Cloud" (model number: CWFL-U2CL), an adapter that easily converts USB storage devices to cloud computing, are now available at PC House Toei and will be released next week.




The "USB HDD Utilize Cloud" is an adapter that allows USB storage devices such as USB HDDs and USB memory devices connected to the main unit to be accessed via wired LAN/wireless LAN from smartphones, tablets, and DLNA-compatible devices.


The dedicated "Ikasu File Manager" application for iOS/Android is also available, which allows users to set up the device by simply reading the QR code on the main unit and view images, documents, videos, and audio over a network , making it easy for even beginners to move to the cloud.

The main specifications are as follows: the main unit measures 87 (W) x 72 (D) x 22 (H) mm ( excluding antenna/projecting parts) and weighs 80 g. The USB interface is USB 2.0 x 1 ( up to 6 devices can be connected using a USB hub). The wired LAN port is (100BASE-TX) x 1, and the wireless LAN is IEEE 802.11b/g/n.

Preliminary pricing is 7,538 yen (including tax) at the company's online store, Century Direct.
