Tomokazu Sugita makes a special appearance in "The Secret Society of Hawks and Hawks-Eagle's Nails," for which he professes to be an enthusiastic fan! Also, an interview with FROGMAN is now open to the public!

Tomokazu Sugita made a special appearance in the December 19 episode 32 of the TV anime "Secret Society: Hawks' Nails EX (Extreme)".

This work is being broadcast on NHK E-television's "Bit World. Tomokazu Sugita, a voice actor who professes to be an avid fan of "The Secret Society of Hawk's Nail," plays the important character Sanda Yamaguchi, who may appear in the final episode. This is a special appearance, which was triggered by the fact that Mr. Sugita took on the challenge of dubbing all the roles in a bonus video included in the currently released BD/DVD "Secret Society: Hawks' Nails EX, Vol. 1." Episode 32 will be included in the "Secret Society: Hawks' Nails EX, Vol. 2" to be released on April 8, 2015.

Along with the special announcement video commemorating Mr. Sugita's appearance in the film, a conversation with FROGMAN, who directs, writes the script, and voices the characters, was also released.

FROGMAN: What did you think when you received the offer to appear in the bonus video for the first volume of "The Secret Society: Eagle Talon EX" and to play all the roles by yourself?
Tomokazu Sugita (Sugita): As an avid "Hawk's Claw" fanatic, I thought that my voice would be too conspicuous, so I didn't need it. I don't need other performers in the film. Because I love the work so much, I deny myself. So when I went to record the film, I started by putting away the feeling of liking it.
FROGMAN: I see (laughs). But thank you for accepting my offer. The reason I offered you the part was because I thought it would be fun (laughs). I thought it would be fun (laughs). But I thought it would be fun to have her play the DX fighter because she has such a wonderful voice. How did you feel when you saw the finished version after recording?
SUGITA: I still can't believe it.
FROGMAN: (laughs).
Sugita: I thought it was important for FROGMAN to do "The Hawk's Nail". But it was interesting and a valuable experience for us to work together in postrecording.
FROGMAN: Thank you very much. My impression is that it was funny. Funny in the funny sense, but also in the "Isn't this guy crazy?" I mean, "What's so funny about this guy? Why is the Führer's tension so high? And so on. It is interesting to see such interpretations. Lately, I have been playing both the Fuhrer and Yoshida-kun without thinking about it, but I feel that I can make the characters more interesting than ever before.
FROGMAN: I was glad to see you in the film not too long after the last episode ("The Secret Society: Eagle's Nail EX: The First Volume" bonus video).
Sugita: My pleasure. I tried to be an ass chin for the role, but as expected, I couldn't become an ass chin in about 2 days, so that is my biggest regret.
FROGMAN: Do you have to pull it in? (laughs)
SUGITA: When you are dubbing, it is important to have a similar face. The similarities in bone structure and so on can produce a similar sound.
FROGMAN: The reason I wanted Sanda to play the role of Sanda this time was because I wanted him to play a role that he had not played before, and I wanted him to make a crying performance at the end of the play.
I wanted to give him a crying performance at the end. I wanted to go against everyone's expectations and predictions.
Sugita: I also didn't like the overly positive Christmas spirit (the subject of the episode in which I appeared). But with "The Hawk's Nail," even if it is a Christmas story, there is a loose entrance and no heartburn.
I was impressed by the excellence of the script. I was impressed by the excellence of the script.
FROGMAN: Thank you very much. Mr. Sugita also created the role well, so I didn't have anything special to say. When we recorded it, there was some goofing around in the middle, but I was really moved by the crying act at the end. But the father who also played the role of the hero was the hero of a certain robot anime...
Sugita: The father also appeared in the role of Kane, so I felt a mysterious sense of duty to change the role drastically, and the first thing that came out was.... *We'll have to wait and see how Mr. Sugita played the role of Kane's father when it airs!
FROGMAN: Sugita-san, what are the highlights and points of interest in episode 32?
Sugita: The drama is all in 5 minutes, and I hope you watch it during Christmas. I thought I would welcome the end of the year by laughing off my sinking feeling at Christmas with "The Hawk's Nail".
FROGMAN: I like it! I'd have to go with Mr. Sugita. I'm looking forward to seeing your performance!
