Production begins on the animated film "Aoki Ur" for simultaneous worldwide release in 2018!　Original work by GAINAX depicting the events after "Royal Space Force."

The start of production has been announced for the animated film "Aoki Uru".

Aoki Ur" is an original anime film produced as part of GAINAX's 30th anniversary project, and is a fighter plane film depicting the world after "Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise," an anime film produced by GAINAX that was released in 1987. The short film "Overture" will be released in the spring of 2015, and the full-length version will be released simultaneously around the world in 2018.

For the production, "Uru in Blue LLP" (*) has been established in Singapore, instead of the production committee method often used in Japan. With this LLP as the production entity, funds and human resources will be gathered from around the world, and the film will be produced for the global market. Mr. Yamaga said, "'Uru in Blue' is a special work for GAINAX. We will be launching new innovations in terms of technology and production methods. We want to use new technologies from around the world and produce it together with excellent creators from around the world.
