2015 Winter Anime "Death Parade" Reveals Additional Characters/Cast and Second PV! Koki Uchiyama, Ryoko Shiraishi, Ryoka Yuzuki, Tetsuaki Genda

Additional characters/cast and the second PV have been announced for the TV anime "Death Parade," which will start in January 2015.



Death Parade" is a TV series adaptation of the original anime "Death Billiard" produced by Madhouse, which was released in 2013 as part of the young animator training project "Anime Mirai" and attracted attention for its style of depicting the depths of human nature and the riddle story it throws at viewers. Yuzuru Tachikawa, who participated in "BLEACH" and "The Book of Dantalian" as a director, and directed the first OVA "Arata naru Sekai", will direct the TV series as well. Character design and chief animation director is Shinichi Kurita, and art director is Satoru Hirayanagi. Production will continue to be produced by Madhouse.

The additional characters/cast and the second PV were released this time. Kouki Uchiyama plays Kravis, the elevator attendant who connects the floors and is always smiling and friendly; Ryoko Shiraishi plays Queen, who used to be an adjudicator like Dekim and the others but now works in the Information Department editing "memories of the dead" for the adjudicators; Ryoka Yuzuki plays Castra, the organizer who distributes the dead among the adjudicators; and Yuzuki Ryoka is a floor monitor and is in charge of creating the system for adjudication. The man who monitors all the floors and created the system of judgment, Oculus, is played by Tetsuaki Genda.


In addition, Takashi Kojima, Norimoto Tokura, and Shosuke Ishibashi will be key animators, the opening theme song will be "Flyers" by BRADIO, and the synopsis of the first episode "Death Seven Darts" was also announced.


<The synopsis of the first episode is as follows
A couple visits the bar "Queen De Kim". For some reason, the couple, who can't remember anything before or after the visit, are puzzled and go to the back of the bar, where they are greeted by a white-haired bartender. The man, who calls himself "Dekim," tells the couple to play a deadly game. In order to get out of the locked bar, Takashi and Machiko decide to play a game of darts. As the game progresses, Takashi comes up with a way out to protect Machiko, his beloved wife.
