2.5-inch SSD "850 EVO" with 3D V-NAND from SAMSUNG!

SAMSUNG has released the 850 EVO, a 2.5-inch SSD with SATA 3.0 connection that uses 3D-V NAND technology. The lineup includes four models with capacities of: 120GB model, 250GB model, 500GB model, and 1TB model.

The 850 EVO is a consumer-oriented 2.5-inch SSD that uses 3D V-NAND technology, in which memory cells are stacked vertically in a three-dimensional manner.

The 120GB/250GB/500GB models use the MGX controller, while the 1TB model uses the MEX controller. In addition, LPDDR2 cache memory (256MB for 120GB model, 512MB for 250GB/500GB models, and 1GB for 1TB model) combined with Turbo Write technology provides fast access speeds.

Sequential transfer rate: read: up to 540MB/s, write: up to 520MB/s. Random 4K performance (QD32): read: 94,000 IOPS (120GB model), 97,000 IOPS (250GB model), 98,000 IOPS (500GB/1TB model), Write: 88,000 IOPS (120GB/250GB models), 90,000 IOPS (500GB/1TB models).
