GIGABYTE offers a 3-way SLI kit of 3 GTX 980 x 3 cards with water-cooling/OC specifications! Actual sales: 430,000 yen

GIGABYTE's GV-N980X3WA-4GD 3-way SLI kit, which includes three GeForce GTX 980 video cards with water-cooled coolers as standard equipment, is now available.

The GV-N980X3WA-4GD comes with an integrated liquid-cooling kit for each of the three overclocked GeForce GTX 980 video cards. The independent cooling system for each video card allows for fine-tuning of fan and pump speeds according to individual load conditions.

For this purpose, three radiators with a body size of 119 (W) x 27 (H) x 167 (D) mm are provided, and a dedicated large control unit "WATERCOOLING BOX" is included to accommodate all of these radiators. Cooling fans are installed on the side of this unit and are not directly attached to the radiators.

Due to these specifications, the "WATERCOOLING BOX" is installed outside of the PC case, and in the configuration example shown by GIGABYTE, the control unit is set at the top of the tower case.

The panel on the front of the control unit allows the user to check the temperature, fan and pump speeds, and other status information. Switches and knobs located nearby allow the user to switch between cards to be controlled and to increase or decrease fan/pump speeds.

The video card itself is clocked at 1228 MHz base/1329 MHz boost, has 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, and a memory data rate of 7 Gbps. 3 DisplayPort, 1 HDMI, and 2 DVI monitor outputs are available.

The minimum power supply capacity required for the system is 1200W, and each video card requires six auxiliary power connectors in an 8-pin + 8-pin configuration, for a total of six per card.
