Gate: Self-Defense Forces: In His Own Country, This Is War" to be adapted into a TV anime by the end of 2015!　A different world x Self-Defense Forces fantasy from the Internet!

A TV anime adaptation of "Gate: SDF, His Land, This is War" has been decided. The broadcast will begin within 2015.

Gate: SDF: In His Own Country, This Fighting" is a novel by Takumi Yanai. Initially serialized on a web-based novel submission site, it quickly gained popularity and was published by Alphapolis in April 2010. It has become a hit, selling over 1.5 million copies in total. The content is an entertainment fantasy in which the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force is active in another world, making full use of modern weapons.

In conjunction with the announcement of the TV anime adaptation, the official anime website (http://www.gate-anime.com/) was opened. In addition, a key visual and a teaser movie have been released. Details have yet to be announced.

The original work will be published in a series of books, the latest of which is "Gate Jiyūshi: His Land, This is Battle: Gaiden 1, Nankai Senryū Hen [1 & 2]" and "Gate Jiyūshi: His Land, This is Battle: Gaiden 4, Hakugin no Shōki Hen". In the "Gaiden 1: Nankai Ryoryu Hen," set in a different world after the Gate has been closed, you can enjoy new episodes and new aspects of the characters that you cannot experience in the main series. It will be released on December 19. Meanwhile, "Gaiden 4: Shirogane no Shouhime Hen," the concluding volume of the four-volume Gaiden series, reveals the backstory of how the Self-Defense Force officers left behind in the other world returned to Japan. The book will be released on December 22.
