Original TV anime "Rampo Kitan" reveals character/cast! Takahiro Sakurai as Akechi, a genius high school detective who is allowed to skip school by the government

The character/cast and story of the TV anime "Rampo Kitan Game of Laplace," which will start in July, have been revealed.

Rampo Kitan Game of Laplace" is an original anime work to be broadcast on Fuji Television's late-night anime slot "Noitamina". It is positioned as a work 50 years after the death of Edogawa Rampo, a master of the Japanese mystery novel world, and is based on his various works and depicts a fantastic worldview by shifting the setting to the present day. Directed by Seiji Kishi, script by Makoto Uezu, and produced by Larke.

The character/cast and storyline have now been released. Takahiro Sakurai plays Akechi, a genius high school detective who is allowed to stay away from school by the Imperial Household Agency for cooperating in solving unusual crime cases; Riyo Takahashi plays Kobayashi, who is extremely uninterested in other people but comes to cooperate with Akechi's investigation; and Daiki Yamashita plays Hashiba, a sensible man who is pushed around by them and is the sergeant of a conglomerate. The latest commercial, in which the facial expressions and voices of the three players can be seen, has also been released.


In addition, the opening theme song will be "Speed and Friction," a new song by the rock band amazarashi, and an advance screening of episodes 1 and 2 plus a hands-on mystery solving game will be held on June 27.
