The animated series "Elena, Princess of Avalor" will begin airing on November 27.

Princess Elena of Avalor" is a new animated series on the Disney Channel. The story is about the brave 16-year-old Elena, who saves her kingdom from a wicked witch and learns to be a queen with the help of various people.

Episode 1 Synopsis
Elena, Princess of Avalor, is rescued from the pendant after 41 years, defeats the evil wizard Shrike, and restores the kingdom. She is also crowned queen at tonight's ball. However, according to the rules of the kingdom, Elena is too young to be queen and must rule the kingdom with the consent of the council until she comes of age. Elena's grandparents tell her that she still has a lot to learn, but she goes to town to prove that she is fit to be queen.
