The following is a comment from Hiroshi Kamiya, who plays the role of Kakushi Goto, on the decision to produce a theatrical version of the film, as well as a preliminary report from the special event.

Comment from Hiroshi Kamiya

─ How did you feel when you heard that a theater version had been decided?
Why...? I was originally going to finish the TV series and the original story together, but the original story ended a month later than the TV series, so I heard that they were going to make a theater version in order to deliver to everyone the parts that could not be depicted in the TV anime series. I thought it was worthwhile to make it.
Mr. Kumeda said that if he extracted only the good parts from the princess's point of view, the gag part of the manga would be lost, even though it was originally a gag manga, and his own identity would become zero (laugh), (Laughs) Please look forward to this new attempt at a theatrically edited version.

─ Do you have any words for your fans?
I am looking forward, as I am sure all the fans are, to seeing the last part of the original story, which we could only complete in our minds, being made by director Murano and the other staff members who created the TV series.
I am also looking forward to seeing this film, as I am sure all the fans are.
In this age of various works, contents, and YouTube videos that can be enjoyed in 10 minutes or so, I feel that it is a hurdle to recommend an entire TV series to people. However, I think that people will watch a single movie, and I think that "Kakushigoto" is easy to recommend.
Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing the movie, so I will put my heart and soul into the recording.

I'm looking forward to it myself, so I'll be looking forward to the postrecording.
I am looking forward to it myself, and I hope I can get into the recording sessions.

On December 12, an event for the TV anime "Kakushigoto," which was broadcast from April to June 2020, was held at Westa Kawagoe, Saitama.

Ken Washizaki presided over the event, which featured Hiroshi Kamiya as Kakushi Goto, Riyo Takahashi as Princess Goto, Natsuki Hanae as May Jyumaruin, Taku Yashiro as Ayo Shiji, Kisono Anno as Rasago Sumida, Ayane Sakura as Ami Kakehi, Ayumi Murase as Dori Akuto, Daisuke Namikawa as Mario, Arie Ozawa as Sylvia Furutake, Kaede Hondori as Hina Tomi, Azumi Wake as Riko Tachibana, and many more. The cast members took the stage to talk about their roles in the show, and the audience enjoyed a variety of activities, including talks, variety shows, and readings.

The event was also broadcast live and trended on Twitter in Japan.

At first, the male audience members talked about "memorable episodes related to the work.

Mr. Kamiya said, "When the original manga was released, I did the narration for the commercials, but at the time I didn't think it would be made into an anime. After I auditioned for the animation, Director Murano told me that he was fine with Kamiya-san. I was very grateful for the opportunity to work on this project because I believe that the work belongs to the director, and if he wanted to entrust it to me, then I would be happy to do it.

Mr. Murase said, "At first, I was thinking that I would like to play other characters because there are so many attractive characters, but the manager told me to accept only this role because he thought Dane would be perfect for the role. I wondered what my manager thought of me, since he ignored me even when I made a comment about other characters. I was distrustful of him (laugh)," he said.

(laugh)," he said, eliciting laughter.

Next, the female members of the audience talked about their "favorite male characters.
Ms. Yasuno answered, "Mr. Kakushi Goto. There are many things wrong with him, but I like the way he wants to do right in front of Hime-chan and his low self-esteem." Ms. Takahashi said, "He is Ishikawa Kanemon. I was very happy when Mr. Koki Uchiyama called me "sister" (laugh). There are too many unlovable defects (characters). There is not a single healthy person. ......," she said with a wry smile, explaining the reason for her choice.

Next, the speakers introduced the "memorable scenes" they had chosen in advance with video clips.
Ozawa-san mentioned the "Ten Commandments of a Manga Artist" scene from Issue 7 (story), and from here the cast members went on to list the "Ten Commandments of a Voice Actor" ....... Hanae-san asked, "Please don't tell me my voice doesn't match the character!" The stage was filled with laughter as the cast members asked the fans to do one thing after another, such as "Don't say that the character's voice doesn't match the character!

The stage erupted in laughter as Hanae asked the fans for more, such as, "~Last-minute roulette talk~! What is your secret?" was a thrilling corner in which the cast members' names were displayed on the screen and a roulette wheel was turned, with the winner having to reveal their "secret.

The person who tells the most last-minute episode will receive a meal ticket as a present, and the cast members who were chosen for the prize revealed their secrets in the most candid manner.

The cast members who guessed the winner revealed their own secrets in a candid manner. Ms. Yashiro introduced an episode that made a huge impact: "I was so embarrassed that I asked Mr. Namikawa to sign my autograph backstage. For his cooperation (?) with Mr. Namikawa, he was presented with a meal ticket.

Next was the reading play "Tonikakukawagoe" with a script written by Mr. Takashi Asashi, who is in charge of series composition and scriptwriting.

The story began with Ami's delight at winning a ticket to an anime event she had been pushing for, and the audience was filled with laughter as "aru aru" (one after another) about anime events popped up.
The audience laughed as many "one thing" about the anime event came up. The play was full of highlights, including a heartwarming (?) exchange between the princesses and the "Megurogawa Tanteijimusyo," who were to perform in the school play.

The last act was a live performance by Kenji Ootsuki and Megurokawa Tanteijimusyo.
First, four members of Megurokawa Tanteijimusyo sang the ending theme song of the anime, "Kimi wa nattei shiroi ~Megurokawa Tanteijimusyo ver. They lined up side by side and performed the song in good harmony.

The five sang "Ai ga yede yagara" together, and the audience spontaneously clapped their hands to the beat.

Tokusatsu, led by Kenji Otsuki, who wrote the song "Ai ga yeryoku" this time, is currently working on a distribution single to be released under the band's name next year.

The distribution is scheduled to start on January 15, 2021 (Fri.), so be sure to check it out.
