Alexandros], who sings the theme song for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway," makes his first attempt as a voice actor! He passionately plays a citizen of Davao who has a near miss with Hathaway!

The theme song of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway," which will be shown nationwide on May 7, 2021 (Friday), will be sung by [Alexandros], who will also try their hand at voice acting in the film.

It has been 33 years since "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," which depicted the final battle between Amuro and Char. The novel "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" by Yoshiyuki Tomino, which strongly inherits the worldview of that film, has been made into a long-awaited movie. The film depicts the vertical axis of the new battles that the anti-Earth Federation government movement "Mufti" takes on, and the horizontal axis of the intersecting fates of its leader, Hathaway Noah, a mysterious beautiful girl named Gigi Andalusia, and a Federation Forces colonel, Kenneth Slegg.

A number of talented staff members, including Shugou Murase, who is directing his first Gundam series, have assembled. Flash Hathaway," said to be the most shocking work of the space century, will start on the screen.

It was announced that [Alexandros], who will sing the theme song, will also take on the challenge of voice acting in the film.
The three members of [Alexandros] will play Hathaway and the citizens of Davao who are mia-missed.
Yohei Kawakami (Vo/Gt) passionately plays a citizen who feels alienated from "Mufti" while watching his speech on a monitor in front of the ferry pier that Hathaway passes by. Hiroyuki Isobe (Ba/Cho) also plays two roles with Kawakami, one as a citizen watching the speech on the monitor with him, and the other as a citizen fleeing from an organization called the Manhunters. Maki Shirai (Gt) plays three roles: a citizen fleeing together with Mr. Isobe from the Manhunters, then a citizen buying a ticket next to Hathaway who watches the clock at the boarding area, and then a street vendor selling bananas.

──My impressions of the postrecording

Yohei Kawakami (Vo/Gt): It was fun. I'm not sure if it's right for us amateurs like us to participate in this project...but since we were going to do it, we put our lives on the line and breathed life into the famous lines. I felt a good response during the performance. I think we almost got it right the first time, didn't we? Mine was (laughs). (Laughs.) I think mine might have been erased, so I'll have to check at the theater to see if it was really in there. It is included in the finished product, but I have to check at the theater to make sure it hasn't been ruined as a product...I can't be that happy about it.

■Hiroyuki Isobe (Ba/Cho): Today was the first time for me to experience expressing myself with my voice while not being able to see facial expressions, and I found it difficult and profound. It was refreshing and fun to catch a glimpse of the depth of the professionals, despite my presumption. I have devoted my life to music in this band, and I was given this valuable job because of my musical work.

Shirai Makiteru (Gt): I have been watching anime for a long time, and there are many voice actors I like. When I get interested in voice actors, I have many opportunities to see them in action. It would have been embarrassing if I had just done it straight out of the box and had to read it like a stick, so I practiced a few times at home, like dandy or normal, so that I could change it if I was ordered to do it.
Gundam" is an important work in the history of anime, and to have my voice included in that work is something I will be proud of for generations to come.

─ About the theme song

Kawakami: I always believe that a work of art is all about what the audience feels when they listen to it. This is the first volume of a trilogy, and I wrote this song based on Hathaway's feelings. I had a pretty good response when I finished it myself, so I was confident in that.
Both my brother and my manager love Gundam, and I listened to people who talked about their love of Gundam, and based on that, I thought I'd spit out my own version, so that part is just for fun.

Isobe: I produced this song with the intention of putting the history of [Alexandros] that we have cultivated up to now into it. I think it turned out to be a great song. I think "Senko no Hathaway" was a big part of the inspiration for this song, and I am very grateful for that.

Shirai: I was very honored to have our theme song used as part of a work that is essential to the history of anime, and I never thought I would be able to voice a part in the film. I am looking forward to the completion of the film as much as you are, and I am very much looking forward to hearing it on the big screen and in loud sound at the theater.

<Story
-Do you know what Negen is?
If you know it, I'll take you there...
Twelve years have passed since the end of the Second Neo Zeon War (Char's Rebellion) in U.C. 0105-. Even after the "Axis Shock," which seemed to indicate the future of humanity and the cosmic century, the world is still in a state of confusion, and military conflicts are still occurring intermittently.
The Earth Federation government had become even more corrupt, with the upper echelons not only accelerating the pollution of the Earth, but also carrying out an inhumane policy of "manhunting" by forcibly taking civilians into space.
The anti-Earth Federation government organization "Mufti" led by a man called "Mufti Nabiyu Erin" stood up against such corruption in the Earth sphere.
Although they were involved in harsh terrorist acts, assassinating high-ranking officials of the Earth Federation government one after another, they had gained a certain amount of support from the people who were increasingly opposed to the Federation government.
The person who called himself the "Mufti" and commanded him was Hathaway Noah, the son of Bright Noah, an Earth Federation officer who had participated in the One Year War, and who had also taken part in stopping Char's rebellion.
He knew firsthand the ideals and ideals of Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, and as a warrior who bore the spirit of both men, he planned to carve out a path of resistance through military force.
However, an encounter with Kenneth Slegg, a colonel in the Federation Forces, and Gigi Andalusia, a beautiful and mysterious girl, changes his destiny drastically.
