PS5/PS4 "MLB The Show 22" with the Shohei Ohtani package will be released on April 5!

Sony Interactive Entertainment will release "MLB The Show 22" (English version) for PS5/PS4 in Japan on April 5, 2022.

MLB The Show 22" is the latest installment in the "The Show" series, which allows anyone to experience Major League Baseball. The game allows players to create their own dream team of current and legendary players, compete against rivals, create their own alter egos, and raise them to superstar status.

Shohei Ohtani, the player who is taking America by storm by winning 11 awards including American League MVP in 2021, will literally be the face of MLB in the packaging of this title.

In addition to PS5 and PS4, the game will be released simultaneously on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Online multiplayer is available across platforms, allowing players to compete against any player in the world. Cross-save with other platform versions and synchronization of game progress is also possible.

Pre-orders for the downloadable version begin today!
Pre-orders for the PS5 and PS4 downloadable versions of the game began today, February 1, 2022 (Tuesday), at the PS Store. In addition, pre-orders for the PS5 and PS4 package editions will be accepted at PlayStation retailers and various e-commerce sites nationwide from February 3 (Thu.).

Both the downloadable and packaged versions of the game will be available for purchase with the in-game currency "Stubs" as a bonus, and the downloadable version will also be available for pre-order with the "Gold Choice Pack" that can be used in the game.

The game is identical to the North American version, and all in-game language and audio will be in English. In-game currency cannot be purchased.
