D3 Publisher announced that "Earth Defense Forces 6," released on August 25, 2022, has sold over 300,000 copies in Japan.

The 3D action shooting game "Earth Defense Forces 6" is the latest in the "Earth Defense Forces" (EDF) series and is currently on sale for PS5/PS4. The game was trending on Twitter on the day of its release, indicating the great response to the game, and it reached 300,000 units within one week of its release.

This is the fastest time in the series' history since the first title "THE Chikyu Boeigun" was released in June 2003.

This title is the long-awaited sequel to the previous "Earth Defense Forces 5," which was released in 2017, and is a story of complete resolution where all mysteries are finally revealed. Earth Defense Forces 5" has sold 500,000 copies in Japan and more than 1 million copies worldwide.
