ClariS performs Wink's "Loneliest Tropical Fish" for the first time at "MUSIC FAIR"! Comments from the lyricist and choreographer of the original song

ClariS performed Wink's cover song "Lonely Tropical Fish" on "MUSIC FAIR" on June 3. Comments from the people involved with the original song were also released.

ClariS, a two-piece unit, will release their Concept EP on June 21, which covers Wink's classic song "Gonashii Tropical Fish. The video has already received more than 1.15 million views.

On June 3, 2023, ClariS appeared on "MUSIC FAIR" broadcast on Fuji Television. They sang "Loneliest Tropical Fish" for the first time.

The year 1989, when "Gonai Tropical Fish" was released, was the year when the Showa era was changing to the Heisei era, and "Showa-style" singing programs such as "Yoru no Hit Studio," "The Best Ten," and "Uta no Top Ten" were putting out their last energy. When we heard that ClariS was going to cover "Lonesome Tropical Fish," we decided to create a production in which we could feel the "lingering scent of the Showa era" in the video, so we studied the camera work of the singing shows in which Wink appeared, and extracted the composition, angles, etc. that were actually taken of Wink and applied them to ClariS.
