Pearl Abyss Japan announced that "Black Desert MOBILE," a mobile version of the popular PC online game "Black Desert," will be released in spring 2019. Prior to the release, pre-registration for "Black Desert MOBILE" is being accepted from January 8, 2019 (Tuesday).

Black Desert MOBILE" is a smartphone game based on the PC MMORPG "Black Desert" developed by Pearl Abyss. The original "Black Desert" is an MMORPG featuring an immersive role-playing game world with an overwhelming action experience and near-live-action graphics that were realized through three years of development of a proprietary engine. The game is popular not only for its technologically advanced graphics, but also for its abundant content, boasting more than 10 million players in 150 countries around the world, including major regions in Asia, North America, and Europe.

Mr. Takatoshi Akiyama of Pearl Abyss Japan Inc., the management producer of "Black Desert MOBLIE," took the stage next and began by showing a trailer that gave an overview of the game. The trailer's beautiful graphics, speedy and smooth action, and flashy effects were so powerful that it looked like a game for high-end PCs, and the audience was impressed. After the trailer screening, Mr. Akiyama announced the details of the game.


According to Akiyama, "Black Desert MOBLIE" is not a simple port of "Black Desert," but uses an original engine to achieve rich light source processing, fog, and smooth battle processing to create a massive world view. In addition, by incorporating assist functions for the mobile version, such as an auto-play function and a power-saving mode, anyone can enjoy a rich game experience at anytime and easily.

In-game content includes farming, fishing, and managing your own city (territory) for one player, as well as various competitive and co-op content such as base battles, siege battles, ancient ruins (instant dungeons), and wardrobe bosses. These contents will be expanded after the game is released.

In addition, the company will be careful about the charged elements, and the game will be designed to be balanced so that what can be obtained by paying is also available in the game, and that the strongest cannot be reached just by paying.
