Director Isamu Chino

This "Three Hundred Year Lullaby"wasperformed two years ago, in the spring of 2017, as the third production in the "Sword Dance" musical series. This production definitely pushed the level of our musical "Sword Dance" to a much higher level.I thinkthis isdue in large part to thedepth of experience and skill of the individual performers as stage actors, as well asthe improvement in the skills of the staff after"Azugashiyama Ibun" and "Bakumatsu Tenrouden".I believe thatthis productionraised the bar forthe musical "Sword Dance"and set the bar that must be exceeded in the future, whichhas led tosubsequentproductions.
At the end of last year, we made our first appearance at the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, andI believe thatthis 2019is thebeginning of the second chapter of this musical "Sword Dance".As the director, I am very happy that "300 Year Lullaby" is the piece that will open the show. I am sure they will raise the bar for this production even higher.
The story has not changed, but the direction has changed a lot, and of course the performershavedeepened their individual roles,so I hope that those who come to see the show will look forward to it.
