The last and the best stage with these 5 members! Megumi Nishikori's graduation live "Luce Twinkle Wink☆ Graduation Live 5ru☆! ~Goal~" report
Luce Twinkle Wink☆ member Megumi Nishikori's graduation live, "Luce Twinkle Wink☆ Graduation Live 5 r☆! ~Goal~" was held at Shibuya TSUTAYA O-EAST on January 14, 2019.
Luce Twinkle Wink☆ is a five-member idol group that has been followed by Akiba Research Institute as a bridge between idols and anime songs. In the idol industry, graduation and new members are common, but Luce has been sharpening their performance with the same five members since they were promoted from trainees to "Luce Twinkle Wink☆" in 2014. I am sure that many people thought that the five of them would go on together forever. That is why the news of Nishikori's graduation came as such a shock.
When I heard that Ms. Nishikori wanted to become a voice actress, along with her physical condition, I felt a little better about the situation. As her catchphrase says, "Little Devil's 2-D voice! Her catchphrase is "Little Devil's 2-D Voice! For example, when I was interviewing Ms. Nishikori about her photo book, she seemed to dive into the world of her relationship with her "senpai" on the other side of the camera, with a slightly different view of the world and her commitment and longing to "act. I felt their commitment and longing for "acting".
I felt like I wanted to support her dream, and I also felt that it was too much of a waste and that I would miss the one and only existence of these five Luce Twinkle Wink☆. I climbed Dogenzaka with both. I think the winkers (fans) who have been watching Luce closely for a long time must have felt this way dozens of times more strongly.
O-EAST was packed to capacity, and in the audience seats were idols from the same agency who had competed with Luce in the same era as her, as well as many other people involved in the event and media. The special live concert started as usual, with the familiar sound effects announcing the opening of the concert in unison with the powerful call of the blinkers. The opening song was "1st Love Story," which made Luce known to the world. As Ms. Nishikori led the audience down the stairs, the entire venue turned yellow with loud "Memetan" calls. It is not unusual to see a single color of light, but there was something special about the way each winker pointed exactly where Ms. Nishikiori was and offered her light as if to envelop the audience.
What surprised me while watching the live performance was how the five ...... members, especially the four who were seeing off Ms. Nishikori's graduation, really moved together. I felt their strong will and determination to show the best Luce Twinkle Wink☆ with these five because it was the last time.
After running through the first block nonstop as usual, we exchanged familiar greetings. Before saying their names, Nishikori muttered, "This is the last time, isn't it? before saying his name. When leader Usami declared, "I want to do Luce as usual! Nishikori continued, "We want to bring you a sparkling time today.
The next three songs, "Precious☆Summer," "Let me cry," and "Yume no Sono Saki" were songs that Ms. Nishikori helped create as part of the "Tsukuru Luce" project, in which the members themselves participated in the creation of the songs with their own ingenuity. Precious☆Summer" was the first Tsukuru-chie song that was created by the members when they did not have many songs of their own, so they decided to create their own.
As the calls for "Memetan" grew louder and louder, I was impressed by the ultra-aggressive dance of "Let me cry". This song was composed by Katsuhiko Kurosu at Nishikori's insistence. The song takes on a different meaning when one considers that a new dream must have already sprouted when she wrote the lyrics to "Beyond the Dream.
The lyrics of "Twinkle "5 "stars! ☆", "Love x Time Soldier ~Future and You, the Warrior Who Goes Back and Forth~", and "Shoujo-tachi no Slight Fever" are three songs that showcase Luce's heat and coolness. The three songs "Twinkle "5 "stars! ☆", Nishikori's solo of "I don't want to regret" seemed to be filled with soul.
At this point, a video of Luce and "Megumi Nishikori" from 2013, when she was a trainee, was shown on stage to look back on the history of the group. The footage from the beginning period makes them look like totally ordinary idols compared to the superb performances they are giving today. Even in the video of about 10 trainees singing together, Ms. Nishikiori was particularly petite, and it was easy to tell where she was dancing.
At the end of the video, Ms. Nishikori appeared alone, dressed in a white and pink idol costume made just for the occasion. She sang a cover of Maaya Sakamoto's "CLEAR," declaring, "I'm singing with everyone in my heart. This song is the opening theme of "Card Captor Sakura (Clear Card Arc)," a special work for Ms. Nishikori, and "the song that pushed me to step out of my comfort zone.
It is Luce's base style not to take too long for the MC, but to show the audience the performance, but today, the setlist flowed as fast and hot as the wind, which I envied. I was left with the impression of Fukasawa-san closing her eyes and praying for something during the prelude of "Polaris," a song written by Fukasawa-san and Higaki-san, and Nishikori-san's solo part in the chorus of "You are a star!
Many of Luce's songs are lyrics about moving toward a new dream or singing about the preciousness of the present place one has reached through hard work. It is a little sad that this makes them feel special meaning along the way. The only saving grace is that the expressions on the faces of the five were bright and sunny. Itayama-san, in particular, seemed to have a good look on his face as if something had blown over. Anyway, it seemed that these five were the best luthiers, and they seemed to be devoting everything to sending off their best friends. The overwhelming performance was the usual, but the condition and tension that kept them breathless where I could see them was so much that I felt something outstanding.
As I listened to the last song of the show, "meteor bell," I wondered a little about the future of this song, which incorporates the names of all the members. The five members who had run together up to this point seemed to be holding hands and looking up at each other, as if they were staring at their own tomorrows.
The encore in response to Winker's thoughtful voice came from "Luce Luce Twinkle Wink☆. This was probably the last time I would hear a live version of the song at the venue, as Nishikori matched her high tone to the entrance of the song, which was quite low-pitched for a Luce song. The sound of Nishikiori spinning the words as if he was shouting "Motto Aishite! of the Nishikiori Theater, which spun the words as if shouting, "More Aishite!
After the commemorative photo, Ms. Nishikori said, "Every time we finish a song, I think I won't dance (to this song) anymore. There were many times I was glad to be a member of Luce. Thank you for loving me. I love you.
The five members left the stage with "Setsuna Halation," which Usami said, "Please listen to the song that marks the beginning of the Luce 5," but there was still one more song they could not end without singing. They sang their latest single "symphony" as a double encore, which was really the last number of the show. The audience shouted out the title of the song "Koiiro ♡ 思考回路 (恋色♡思考回路)" when Nishikori asked the audience to "say the name of the song when I say se-no." Nishikori smiled and said, "Well done! Nishikori smiled smugly.
Nishikori, who remained alone on stage after the song, proudly held up the Luce sign as if piercing the heavens, and exited the stage with the words, "See you soon.
