The girls' determination and light turned even the demons at Nippon Budokan into smiles! BanG Dream! 7th☆LIVE DAY3: Poppin'Party "Jumpin' Music♪" Live Report

Bandolier! 7th☆Live" was held at Nippon Budokan from February 21 to 23, 2019. Here is the report from "DAY3: Poppin'Party "Jumpin' Music♪" held on February 23.

Poppin'Party appeared on stage on the last day of the Budokan. Aimi (Gt. & Vo.) playing the role of Kasumi Toyama, Sae Otsuka (Gt.) playing the role of Tae Hanazono, Rimi Nishimoto (Ba.) playing the role of Rimi Ushigome, Ayaka Ohashi (Dr.) playing the role of Saya Yamabuki, and Ayasa Ito (Key) playing the role of Arisaki Ichigaya appeared on stage.

Poppipa returned to the Nippon Budokan for the second time with more growth. The setting of a 360° circular stage in the center and the audience seats fully open 360° followed the last time, and the venue was again unquestionably packed this time.

This was the second time for the band to perform at the Budokan, and the band's sound was even more polished!

The five members of Poppipa appeared on stage against the backdrop of a cylindrical screen showing a wide blue sky. Aimi called out "Budokan! Aimi called out "Budokan!" and the live started with "Double Rainbow. The keyboard part of this song is very difficult to play, but it was a very encouraging sight to see Ms. Ito playing the solo part. I could feel the bond between them as Ohashi-san, who played the drums, looked on quietly from the side. Aimi's gesture of drawing a rainbow arch by pointing her fingertips toward the audience to the side in time with the phrase "crossing the rainbow" was impressive. Aimi's expression was calm, yet joyful and very soft.

The second song, "Happy Happy Party! The second song was "Happy Happy Party! was conveyed not only in words but also in the expressions on the faces of the five members and the way they played the music. The five members were so excited that the audience was able to enjoy their performance! (Mr. Ito).

Aimi MC'd the live and talked about the smartphone game "Bandoli-Girls' Band Party! Girls Band Party! and Ms. Ito introduced "There are 82 cover songs in 'GARUPA' alone! and then it was on to the cover corner.

Ohashi-san's "Poppipa has to be Poppipa! and of course, Oishi Masayoshi's popular song "Kimi ja Dakidakatta Dameseme". The sight of Aimi and Otsuka-san smiling happily at each other, and Nishimoto-san's bass playing with his center of gravity lowered, was impressive. A long-tone shout by Aimi during the interlude, which is unique to this song, was not only powerful but also had an original sound that gradually became clearer and clearer.

The next cover song was "only my railgun," which became a hot topic when performed in collaboration with fripSide. While the screen was filled with electric effects, Aimi stood on a column in the center of the stage and sang the song. On the other hand, during quieter passages, she sang in a more subdued manner with a downcast look on her face, a very attractive gap between the two. One of the highlights of this song was Otsuka's guitar, which he played back-to-back with Aimi on the raised center stage.

It was as if he had stepped out of an anime. The cast's MCs and character songs

The way to connect the costumes and the stage setting was a part of the three days that showed the individuality of each band, but Poppipa chose a very orthodox composition titled "Poppin'Party's NEXT STAGE," in which interview videos focusing on their past activities and future goals were shown one after the other. The first part of the interview was highlighted by the following words: "Poppin'Party's NEXT STAGE.

The first part of the interview emphasized that the sense of unity among the members had increased and their understanding of each other had deepened. Ohashi-san said, "I decided not to cry because I want people to go home with happy memories," and Otsuka-san said that he was afraid to stand on stage as the lead guitarist of the band now that he has more time to look around him. I was struck by his words. While the serious words continued, Ms. Ito's smiling face as she said, "Ayaka is cute" and "(Ms. Otsuka) has become a good woman," brought a sense of warmth and enjoyment to the audience.

From the fifth song, the corner proceeded with a mix of each person's character song, acoustic song, and performance as a character. The method of depicting the band's activities in the daily lives of Kasumi and her friends is unique to Poppipa. Leading the way was Otsuka-san singing Tae Hanazono's character song "Hanazono Denki Guitar! . The costumes were Hanasakigawa Girls' Academy High School winter uniforms to match the situations in the skit.

2nd Season" is currently airing, and I personally feel that Ms. Otsuka has grown and improved the most as a voice actress. I felt that her growth as a voice actress was reflected in her singing of character songs, such as in the way she put her heart into the phrase "The word I want to tell you is".

Aimi sang the character song "Dokidoki SING OUT! and echoed her soul cry as Kasumi. Even though they were both calling out to the Nippon Budokan, Aimi's call sounded different from her own, as if she was overflowing with the sparkling excitement of seeing the stage in front of her. A sea of crimson light filled the venue, illuminating Aimi's smile.

After finishing her song, Aimi started a skit with Mr. Otsuka. The setup consisted of Kasumi, who was upset that Arisaki had kicked her out of the student council room, and Otae discussing the live performance. While discussing comical topics such as flying Michel and tooth guitars, the conversation about how to make people's hearts flutter when they see a live performance and how Poppa has its own live performance seemed to be linked to the real live performance and to the real Poppa.

Aimi and Otsuka then performed an acoustic version of "B.O.F.," a song that seemed to be whispered to them by Aimi. Aimi's whispering voice and Otsuka's lyrical guitar playing intertwined to create a world of just the two of them, as if they were trying to express their feelings through the melody they played. After the performance, Otsuka-san looked relieved and made the audience laugh by murmuring, "I was nervous even though it was supposed to be just the two of us (Kasumi and Tae).

The next character part was the turn of Rimi, Saaya, and Arisaki. First, Ms. Ohashi performed Saaya Yamabuki's character song "Distant Music - Heart Beat. Ms. Ohashi appeared in her winter school uniform, with a very solid orange color in her hair and a yellow ribbon, which was quite visually similar to Saaya's. Ms. Ito's "Su, I don't like it! was an impressive song not only in its lyrics but also in the choreography of the chorus, and I felt again that only Arisa Ichigaya - Ayasa Ito - could sing this song.

Ms. Nishimoto, Ms. Ohashi, and Ms. Ito sat in a circle on the center stage and performed an acoustic version of "Poppin' Shakkafuru. Noteworthy was that Mr. Ohashi was trying his hand at playing the percussion cajon. The audience was able to relax and enjoy the three singers' voices with the humorous sounds of the cajon played by Mr. Ohashi in a relaxed manner. Ms. Ito sang with a bouncy smile, her cute and gentle voice spreading to every corner of the Budokan during her solo part.

The last of the character songs was Rimi Ushigome's "Chocoreito no Bass Recipe" by Ms. Nishimoto. Her meltingly sweet voice was original and unique to her, but she also seemed to have added a supple strength to it. The last song was "Choco Coronet," which is often imitated by the members these days, and she sang it in her original voice.

At this point, the five members appeared on stage again. Aimi-san hugged Ito-san, and Otsuka-san suddenly made a silent shiko-like move that drew laughter from the audience. It was as if the Ichigaya family's warehouse was the scene of a Poppipa character's life. It was a time when I felt that Poppin'Party's music is all about the relationships and atmosphere of the characters' daily lives and stories.

The closing song, "Kimi ni Gotcha" was performed acoustically by the five members with Ms. Nishimoto's words, "I hope it will reach my sister. Aimi's whispering voice gradually grew in power and blended comfortably with the soft chorus of the four.

The last part of the live show was a fast-paced setlist!

In the next video interview, footage from a previous special program was shown, and Ms. Ito was shown in tears as she overcame her capacity while practicing for the previous Nippon Budokan concert. Looking back on those days, Ito-san talked about the difference between the real POPIPA and the POPIPA in the anime, where they work with the presence of many fans, and said, "I want many people to see our live performance live. Our goal is to perform in a dome! she said with a strong smile. In the interview, Aimi revealed that she now speaks in a relaxed Kansai dialect in the waiting room with Ito-san, Nishimoto-san, and other members from the Kansai region, which is one of the recent changes in Poppipa's relationship. It was also impressive to see Mr. Nishimoto's eyes twinkling as he talked about how the sound changes in a thousand different ways depending on the combination of bass and equipment.

After the interview video, the five members of Poppipa suddenly popped up from various parts of the stage, stunning the audience. What's the POPIPA! is a new song that was performed for the first time, and all five members danced and performed vocals on stage. The song "What's the POPIPA? is a song that sums up Poppin'Party's music, while also expressing their aggressive attitude. The choreography for this song was created through discussions among the members.

What caught the audience by surprise was that after the fun-filled song, the five members moved to the outro of the song and stood by in front of their instruments, and seamlessly transitioned into "Time Lapse". From this point on, it was time to fully enjoy Poppipa as a cool and well-trained band. Aimi's smile was bewitching as she appeared from the shadows of her palms during "Can't You Feel It? Otsuka-san played the guitar with an ecstatic expression on his face, and Ito-san looked at the camera with a penetrating gaze.

The expression became even more intense and passionate with "Teardrops. Otsuka-san played the guitar as if dancing along the flower aisle, and Nishimoto-san jumped lightly on the bass solo. While giving off a cool rock vibe, Ms. Nishimoto did not forget the girly and cute nuances in her jumps, which is typical of her. Aimi's strong-willed gaze and smile are her trademark, which is why the last part of this song, when she put her face down at an angle and showed no expression, was so striking.

The last song in the flow of showing cool Poppipa was "1000 times moistened sky. This was the first song they had performed since the last Nippon Budokan. Personally, I think this song is an answer song from Noriyasu Uematsu, who wrote the lyrics and music, to novelist Wataru Nakamura, who wrote the original story, drafted the story, and wrote the main lyrics. The voices of the singers echo each other in the fantastic atmosphere. Seeing Ms. Otsuka's emotional guitar playing, I felt that this song was connected to the original landscape of Poppipa before the anime aired. After finishing the song, Aimi took a breath and then smiled happily, saying, "Everyone laughed, and I am so happy to be able to spend such a fun Nippon Budokan.

After a conversational exchange as if enjoying the afterglow of the Nippon Budokan, they moved on to the last song of the main program.

I think music is a bond, so I would like to play this song thinking of the five of us," said Otsuka.

I would like to play a song that fits the members' breathing perfectly, and that they can breathe together as time goes by" (Nishimoto).

I love Poppipa, so I want to play a song that represents the bond between the five of us.

I'm going to play a very good song, so please listen to it. It's a great song, so please get really excited! (Mr. Ito)

The song they will be singing in the excitement is, of course, "Kizuna Music♪". There are other songs by POPIPA in which each of the five members has a vocal part, but this song's "Daisuki na Uta (Ms. Nishimoto)," "Yakusoku no Uta (Ms. Otsuka)," "Eien no Uta (Ms. Ito)," and "Darehodemo Uta (Ms. Ohashi)" are all sung by each member! (Mr. Ohashi), I don't think there is any other song that packs so much individuality and sparkle of each character and singer into a single phrase as this song does.

Surrounded by all these personalities, Aimi, pointing beyond her dreams, is a star, and everything about her is picture-perfect. At the center stage, Aimi, Otsuka, and Nishimoto played a session, smiling at each other on the raised center stage. The sound of Ohashi's soulful drumming and Ito's glittering keyboard playing enveloped the three, and countless soap bubbles danced throughout the Budokan.

For the encore, Ms. Ito came up with an original call of her own: "Poppipa, Poppipa, Poppipa! Pipopa! The lecture time began with the audience joining in the chorus of "Poppipa! It is truly amazing how she can make her friends and the audience laugh from the bottom of their hearts on stage at the Nippon Budokan and naturally create an atmosphere filled with joy.

The circle of the five and the circle of bandleaders filling the Nippon Budokan connected and expanded.

Poppin'Party and SILENT SIREN will perform at MetLife Dome on May 18 and 19!

Now, here comes the beginning of the story leading to "beyond" Nippon Budokan. When the name and image of "SILENT SIREN" appeared from the on-screen images of "silent warning looming", "vs. band", and "NO GIRL NO CRY", the Budokan was filled with astonished voices.

SILENT SIREN has been in existence for 10 years and is the most powerful girl band in existence, having performed solo at the Nippon Budokan twice. When "Sai Sai" said in the video, "As a senior member of the band, I want to show them off," Aimi, representing Poppin'Party, a pioneering girl band of voice actors, replied, "I really want to go head-to-head with them! She replied, "I really want to clash with you! This exchange itself was a well-crafted entertainment, but it was more shocking to the members than anyone else, as Ms. Ito revealed during the MC that when Poppipa was formed, they used to watch SILENT SIREN videos together for study, and Ms. Otsuka whispered, "I was in a copy band (of Sai Sai) when I was a student. The members of the band were more shocked than anyone else by the performance.

The venue for the show was the MetLife Dome. For "Bandolier! and the biggest stage ever for Poppin'Party. It was funny to see Poppipa and Saisai standing side by side on stage and exchanging friendly words such as "The dome is holding our heads" and "We are also holding our heads".

While the shock of the Dome and the appearance of Saisai had not subsided, the final greeting was given.

On the day when the true value of Poppin'Party was to be tested, I thought a lot about how I would stand here as the lead guitarist. But I love the members of Poppipa and I'm happy, so I decided to just go with it for now!" (Mr. Otsuka)

I was so happy to see the smiles on everyone's faces. Just seeing everyone's smiling faces is enough for me, I am very, very happy, thank you very much.

I am very, very happy. I would like to continue to play various kinds of music. I really enjoyed myself today! (Mr. Ohashi)

It's a privilege to be on stage to see everyone's smiling faces. I hope we can continue to deliver performances that make everyone smile. They say there are demons in the Budokan, but today the demons in the Budokan pushed me back!" (Mr. Ito)

I think we've gotten really good. (Preparation and practice are) hard work, but we had so much fun today that we will do our best again the next time. I think it is very happy to be able to say, "Next time, too. It is not a matter of course that there will be a next time. We only have now. I'm so happy that Band Reemer is taking us to such a big venue like the Dome! (Aimi)

The power of the smiles of the audience made the five members on stage smile, and those smiles returned to the audience. This space felt like the lyrics of "CiRCLING" itself. The last number was "Jumpin'. Poppin'Party took another big leap toward new challenges.
