The latest film by "SAO the Movie" director Tomohiko Ito, "HELLO WORLD," unveils its special trailer and cast!

The original theatrical anime "HELLO WORLD" will finally be released on September 20, 2019. Ahead of the release, the cast information and a 30-second special feature film have been released.

HELLO WORLD" is the first original theatrical anime directed by Tomohiko Ito, the director of "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" which grossed over 2.5 billion yen at the box office. The script was written by Mado Nozaki of "Correct to Kill" fame, the character design by Yukiko Horiguchi of "K-ON! s Yukiko Horiguchi for character design, and Graphinica of "Paradise Expelled" for animation production.

Ahead of the film's release on September 20, 2019, a 30-second special trailer has been released.

The story takes place in the ancient capital of Kyoto in the year 2027. The film depicts Kyoto's representative historical sites and landmarks, including Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, Kamigamo Shrine, and the Kamo River Delta in Demachiyanagi.

In addition, cast information has been released. The voice of the main character, Naomi Kensho, a high school student, is played by Shomi Kitamura, a hot young actor who won the 41st Japan Academy Prize for Best New Actor for his role in "Kimi no Pancreato wo Tabetai" (2017). He is taking on the challenge of voice acting for the "first time" in his career.

The voice of Naomi Katagaki, who comes from 10 years in the future, will be played by Tori Matsuzaka, who dubbed the main character in "Paddington" (2016). He was cast in this film after an enthusiastic offer from director Ito, who was captivated by his voice.

The voice of the heroine Ruri Ichigyo will be played by Ruri Ichigyo, who also starred in "Yo-Yo-Kai Watch: The Great Adventure of the Flying Whale and the Double-Spreading World" and "One Piece Film: The Last Airbender". and "ONE PIECE FILM GOLD.

I have always loved anime and wanted to try my hand at voice acting, and when I heard about the audition for "Hello World", I was very excited! I wanted to do it! I said, "I want to do it!
I had not worked with Minami Hamabe for a long time, and I had not worked with Momori Matsuzaka since our previous drama together,
I was very happy to be able to "reunite" with both of them again.
I feel that the recording went very well with the encouraging cast and director Ito.

I played the voice of Naomi Katagaki in "Hello World.
Director Ito offered me the role after watching "Paddington," so I was a little worried about what kind of animal I would be playing this time. I was a bit worried about what kind of animal it would be this time, but I was relieved to find out that it was a human being.
The spectacular world view is unique to animation.
It was difficult to breathe life into this world with only my voice, but it was also fun and worthwhile.
I tried to create a connection with Takumi Kitamura, who plays the role of Naomi, a high school student, in the dubbing, and I hope that when you see the finished film, you will feel that connection.

I myself am a great fan of anime, which is why I understand how difficult it is to be a voice actor, and I was both happy and anxious to be able to be involved in an anime production. I had appeared in a film starring Ms. Matsuzaka when I was in junior high school, but we did not have any scenes together.
I had hoped that we would meet again, so I was very happy to be able to work with him this time.
It had been about two years since I last saw Mr. Kitamura, and it had been a while since we last met, but it was fun to work together again.
The director took a lot of trial-and-error approach to my unfamiliarity with voice-over work.
I have always loved the director's work, so it felt strange to be able to work with him.

Some of you may be thinking, "Why did they have to use actors who are not professional voice actors?
I am very honored that Momori Matsuzaka accepted the offer because I fell in love with his excellent voice work and I had drawn the storyboard based on his image. Both Shoumi Kitamura and Minami Hamabe worked very hard to understand their characters and went through the audition process, even though it was an original work and there was very little information available. For me, the fact that I have been able to work with talented newcomers for their debuts and have had people who are not from the animation field do the voices is all the result of my thinking only about the work. I am confident that we were able to ask the people most suited to this work to do the voices this time as well.
The lines were recorded ahead of time using a technique called prescreening, and cuts are being made daily to match their plays. Sometimes serious, sometimes comical. Sometimes comical. The characters are being brought to life in a way that is as good as that used in foreign animated films. Please look forward to it!
