The third video introducing the next film by Sunao Katabuchi, director of "In a Corner of the World" is now on view! Production staff are also wanted!

A new introductory video about director Sunao Katabuchi's next film has been released by Kontrail Inc. The company also began recruiting experienced animation directors on July 1.

Sunao Katabuchi is an animation film director born in Hirakata, Osaka in 1960. While a student at Nihon University College of Art's Department of Cinema, he participated in Hayao Miyazaki's "Detective Holmes" as a scriptwriter. In 2009, he delivered "Mai Mai Shinko to Sennen no Mahou" (My My New Child and the Magic of a Thousand Years).

Sunao Katabuchi announced his next work. The third video showing the storyboard and production of the film has been released. Character designers and other information will be announced later.

Director Sunao Katabuchi's comment:
A thousand years have passed by since the girl appeared in "Mai Mai Shinko and the Magic of a Thousand Years".
The staff who will work together on this film is gradually gathering.
Some of the animators we have trained from complete newcomers are now drawing original drawings.
We are now recruiting new animation staff.
